Jonathon Ross - TV's most vile individual

I've just watched the TV comedy awards. Again my low opinion of Johnathon Ross
has been confirmed. He shows all the psychological traits of a having a highly
inferior complex and an appallingly low self-esteem. This comes out through his
persistent put-downs of anyone who appears before him. Humiliation, ridicule,
snide and hurtful remarks abound each time Ross's lips part. His standard
fodder equates to either cruel comments or foul excessive and in-appropriate
swearing. If Jonathon had been born into a TV world with no canned laughter you
would be able to hear the diss-approval and indeifference to his crass and
perverted humour. He has no boundaries and cares not a scratch about the hurt
he causes. His standard trick in order to get away with it, is to start by
stating a cruel remark or two...and then to try and patch it over with a
patronising compliment such as "you're a really great person" in order to
divert attention away from the aggresive insult he previously made. Help us
media. Get this slob off the air asap and get him into intensive therapy before
you expose any more victims to his sadistic "wit".

By my calculations you were hoping for 1hr 48 mins worth of comedy, but,
largely through your own fault, you only had 1 minute of comedy and 9
minutes of Ross....no wonder you were disappointed. If those 10 minutes were
spanning a 4 minute advert break however then I think you'd have to be
satisfied with those results.
Even with your pessimistic ratio, there was a full 11 more minutes of comedy
available to you if you were prepared to put in the ground work....now just
imagine if those 10 minutes you watched was wall to wall comedy....fantastic
eh! Now add a minute more. Thats what it could have been like if those 11
minutes of comedy was super condensed.

My point was that I don't partcularly care for JR and his 'humour', I tried
to watch the programme despite him hosting it.
Evidently, missing this extravaganza was a huge mistake on my part and my
life will forever be blighted, albeit Ross-free.

I missed the beginning so didn't see that. The other amusing bit was
Jordan and that old duffer, I've just forgotten his name. It was only

Agreed. He's perfect for this type of in-jokey event. He doesn't write
much of his own stuff anyway, so he can't be "blamed" for the
pseudo-insults, which everyone has come to expect from him during this show.

I once booked him for a big awards event for a corporate client, and he was
superb. He was careful to get comprehensive notes from us a few weeks
before, so he could get funny things written about the company's bosses.
Some of the stuff was quite near the knuckle, but he went down an absolute
storm!

All the nominees and winners last night seemed to be having a good time. I
think Ross did an excellent job - it would be hard to imagine this show
without him.

I've just watched the TV comedy awards. Again my low opinion of Johnathon Ross
has been confirmed. He shows all the psychological traits of a having a highly
inferior complex and an appallingly low self-esteem. This comes out through his
persistent put-downs of anyone who appears before him. Humiliation, ridicule,
snide and hurtful remarks abound each time Ross's lips part. His standard
fodder equates to either cruel comments or foul excessive and in-appropriate
swearing. If Jonathon had been born into a TV world with no canned laughter you
would be able to hear the diss-approval and indeifference to his crass and
perverted humour. He has no boundaries and cares not a scratch about the hurt
he causes. His standard trick in order to get away with it, is to start by
stating a cruel remark or two...and then to try and patch it over with a
patronising compliment such as "you're a really great person" in order to
divert attention away from the aggresive insult he previously made. Help us
media. Get this slob off the air asap and get him into intensive therapy before
you expose any more victims to his sadistic "wit".

I agree. I wouldn't expect DigitalRadioUK to suddenly change his mind, of
course. If he doesn't like Ross, he doesn't like him, but I think very few
people - even those on the receiving end - were offended by any of his
material, and it seems like he is generally very well liked in the business.

I thought he did a terrific job hosting, and the award he won was thoroughly
well deserved, although I think he was lucky that Mike from OneTel wasn't
nominated in that category this year :-)

You couldn't be more wrong about the guy. There is nothing cruel or nasty
about his jokes and I find it hard to imagine someone being so bad at
reading a person. He always seems utterly genuine and is clearly just having

I like my comedy cruel and there's no one who does it crueler that JR.
