I have just listened to fifteen of my recordings of this masterpiece,
the *Piano Quintet in F minor* by my great friend *César Franck*...
My preferences go above all to :

- *Eymar* / *Lowenguth* which has become (untraceable... But
fortunately on YT)...
- *Richter* / *Borodine* (Universal)...
- *François* / *Bernède* (Warner)...
- *Ortiz* / *Fine Arts Quartet* (Naxos)...

And you?...What's your choice?...

I don't know the Ortiz recording, but the others are prime stuff. I've really become smitten with the piece. Add (in no particular order):

Richter / Bolshoi Theatre
Darré / Pascal
Bernáthová / Jánaček
Solchany / Hungarian
Sokoloff / Curtis

If I could have only one, probably it would be ... heck, I dunno! Right now I'd say Bernáthová. For the superb Eymar / Loewenguth, see http://quartier-des-archives.blogspot.com/search/label/Franck (scroll down; links still active).

And how could you leave out Cortot / International? :-)

I add that the Ricter CD contains an absolutely FANTASTIC "Pensée des
Morts" (Liszt), for me one of Richter's greatest recordings!...

Richter! Throw away all the others.
Especially the one with the Fine Farts.

You're so predictable that it's moving...
Nevertheless, and I've already advised you, you should take medical...

And you?...What's your choice?...
I'll stick with Bolet/Julliard.
