US officials are now pulling back their suspicion that Russia
carried out a directed-energy attack on American troops in
northeast Syria. .. The incident has now been traced: "[The
affected troops] had bad food and ... no one else on the base
had the same symptoms." ..

According to reports, elite marines on a remote base in Syria
reportedly came down with flu-like symptoms after a Russian
helicopter flew past the camp, leaving commanders fearing that
the two events could be evidence of a nefarious plan by Moscow
to give soldiers a runny nose.
...
Self-suggestion looks like the most realistic explanation. The
marines were previously indoctrinated that the Russians might
use those "directed-energy weapons" against them, so when they
saw a Russian helicopter, they got scared, - and it lowered
their natural immunity. Then they ate the American food (which
is known for being contaminated with pathogenic e.coli) and got
sick, - because of their weakened natural immunity.
Basically, if the American policymakers seek for an escalation
of enmity with Russia, they can invent any "plausible" stories
they like, and the zombie-populace will take it for the truth,
thus they always can create a suitable bogus pretext - if only
they really want an escalation.
Still if the Americans are sincere about their "investigation"
then it's a grimmer case, because it raises questions of their
mental sanity. And if mentally unhealthy people possess nukes,
it's a big problem. Suspition is reasonable given the American
severe drug epidemic which broadly affects their mental health.
