This thread is about the present coronavirus epidemic which has by now
reached world wide spread and the unhelpful hysterics whipped up by alt-
right nutjobs, China vs US war proponents and idiotic conspiracy
theorists.
And so this was my first response on this topic (kindly snipped by Petz

the emergence of crazy scare tactics by opponents of that regime.
And of course an epidemic is an epidemic...even 2% dead can be a large
number when when potentially millions of people might be infected.
So let the scientists and the medical professionals make the necessary

I have no "mates' in China nor North Korea nor Cuba nor in Venezuela.
But I would not mind to have some if I could find the opportunity, after
all they are people just like us.
However, none of the people I have ever had friendship with were
supporters of brutal authoritarianism, personal cults, suppression of
science and culture, supporter of extreme forms of capitalism (including
one run by the state) nor pretend communism, nationalism and racism.
It is clear to all rationally thinking humans that the currently
practiced statist dogma of China is as far removed from the communist
ideology of the present as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea
(North Korea) is removed from anything even mildly resembling democracy.
You are therefore stuck into the logical fallacies of

Post by PetzlDr Li contracted the virus while working at Wuhan Central Hospital and
sent out his warning after recognising that the symptoms were not too
dissimilar to those of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome).
According to the account he posted on the Chinese social media platform
Weibo from his hospital bed a month after issuing his initial warning to
a doctors chat group to wear protective clothing to avoid possible
infection, he was summoned to the Public Security Bureau and told to
sign a letter in which he was accused of making false comments that
had severely disturbed the social order.
In his Weibo post he describes how on January 10 he started coughing,
the next day he had a fever and two days later he was in hospital. He
was diagnosed with the coronavirus on January 30. Eight days later he
was dead.
Nothing I have posted so far in this thread detracts anything from what
was in the above paragraph.
So come back when you can put something forward that can actually detract
anything from my comments.
Hint: Get off from the Mad Ned Latham kool aid, and the goon bags booze
for a few days before you attempt to post something less stupid and
