Resurrection should have never been. The Movellans
should have wiped the Daleks out for good!
The Movellans were nothing more than a race of mobile computers unable to
think out of the box until Resurrection.

Nevertheless Revelation is probably the one that should never have been. The
Daleks were supposed to be about preserving the racial purity of the Kaleds
by growing new mutants in incubators, not converting the dead or dying? That
was Cybermen, and their storylines all fell apart after it became obvious
they couldn't breed.

I think both races need a reboot from basic principles.

First the Daleks.

What's the point of them conquering the universe? What would they do with it
once they were the only surviving lifeform?

Let's go back to basics.

The Daleks were created survive the radiation caused by the Dal vs. Thal war
and then after that they would return to their original humanoid form. So
why not have the Daleks do just that now they've conquered Skaro and do the
same after they've conquered other planets too. Lots of good stories there
and I expect a share of the royalties.

Now for the Cybermen.

The whole idea behind them was that they evolved from replacing all they
body parts with mechanical ones so that they could continue to live on, and
then they got into a war with Earth after their own planet died. So how
about another reboot and have Cybermen living alongside humans on their own
planet, fighting its wars together then moving on to other planets and
conquering them and rebuilding themselves with mechanical parts in order to
prolong their lives, and then they could breed as many Cypbermen as they
want and do away with pointless conversions of alien races? I expect a
share of the royalties from that idea too.

Time wars need to be erased with the White Guardian pleading with the

Resurrection should have never been. The Movellans
should have wiped the Daleks out for good!
The Movellans were nothing more than a race of mobile computers unable to
think out of the box until Resurrection.
Virus that rendered the Daleks useless.

Cybermen needed converts as proven in Attack.
Only because they couldn't breed. Do female Cybermen have a womb? Was that

I think both races need a reboot from basic principles.
First the Daleks.
What's the point of them conquering the universe? What would they do
with
it
once they were the only surviving lifeform?
Let's go back to basics.
The Daleks were created survive the radiation caused by the Dal vs. Thal war
and then after that they would return to their original humanoid form. So
why not have the Daleks do just that now they've conquered Skaro and do the
same after they've conquered other planets too. Lots of good stories there
and I expect a share of the royalties.
And ditch the Time Wars. And then Remembrance establish Skaro as burnt up.
Put an end to them be going back in time and changing Dalek history. Then
you can have the Timelords, Gallifrey and Skaro back all for the same price.
Genesis did provoke this.

Gnesis of the Cybermen anyone?
RTD did that in Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel. It all needs to be
undone.
In an alternative universe.

Time wars need to be erased with the White Guardian pleading with the
Doctor to get the Key to Time to resotre order. Of Course
the Black Guardian might get in the way.
Or whoever's producing the show can do it another way.
Well in this case because the White Guardian did not get the Key
to Time, the Time Wars occured and chaos reigns the universe.
The White Guardian had plenty of time to do what he needed to do.

A few reasons. Firstly, the elephant in the room people seem to have
forgotten.
Sly McCoy's Doctor destroyed Skaro. Or rather Davros did when Sly tricked
him.
So unless this episode involved Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey, someone royally
fucked up.

Secondly. It's probably already been done.
I can tell you full well for a fact I personally have a short story in

I don't think anybody fucked up. Moffat is as aware as any of us that Skaro
was destroyed by the 7th Doctor. He chose to ignore it. If it worries you,
you could always assume that McCoy's actions occurred in the future relative
to Asylum. Alternatively, read John Peel's book, "War of the Daleks". In
that, he reasoned that the planet the Doctor blew up wasn't Skaro, but was
instead the planet Antalin.

The timeline as presented in the series has been put through the
wringer so much that I am surprised it even makes as much sense as it
does right now.
That said: it also could be that they just destroyed an old or
alternative Skaro (with the current mainworld of the Daleks always
being called Skaro and maybe being skaroformed to have those homely acid
rains and red skies). Or a future version of Davros might have gone
back and kept Davros from being destroyed by replacing it with a planet
called Antalin in the nick of time. Or it might not even have been
Davros but some other group or individual from a species of scheming
mad cyborgs that just thought it might be nice to have that old home
planet saved.

destroyed his ship too in the same event that destroyed Skaro, and it can't
work as a continuation from War of the Daleks either.

No, Yads. We've told you time and time again, with examples, that
Mawdryn Undead _wasn't_ the first time that inconsistencies showed.

It was merely the first time fandom was organised enough to take
notice of the inconsistencies that were showing. Big, big difference.

How many more times do we have to tell you this before it finally
sinks in?

Nope that was collaborators.
Robomen.

They were humans who were robotised.
They even tried to do it to the Doctor and his companions.
Didn't Chesterton manage to bluff them by pretending he was converted or am

No wonder the Daleks wanted the Doctor's help, destroy him
and the Asylum.
A ship crashs and survivors are minimal.
Why not just exterminate them?
Maybe the Daleks realises the need for Human converts.
Why? They were all mad.
Same in Evil of the Daleks?
Those were real genetically pure Daleks that tampered with themselves.
Human Factor and the Doctor created a civil war.

Why not just exterminate those too if they're so insane. They did it to the
WW2 Daleks.
That was not insanity; it was non-comliance.
They were impure. So were the mad Daleks probably.
How were they being treated? Nanogenes, which didn't seem to be working
properly?

LOL! (Rock & chain).

I still find it amazing that Amy & Rory could come back together so easily once Amy (after months of holding it in) admitted that she had pushed Rory away to enable him to find a woman who could give him kiddies. I would expect Rory to be mad at Amy for not explaining MONTHS AGO that she was seeking to free Rory to find a fertile mate! If she had, months of stress would have been saved!

The Daleks were created survive the radiation caused by the Dal vs. Thal
war and then after that they would return to their original humanoid
form. So why not have the Daleks do just that now they've conquered Skaro
Secondly. It's probably already been done.
I can tell you full well for a fact I personally have a short story in
development that revolved exactly around this idea that I came up with
several months ago.
Went away and looked.

Yep, I started developing my idea in May.
Found it in my idea pile and actually typed up what I'd already worked out
yesterday.
I'm guessing having read the "I Am A Dalek" book kinda inspired me to look
in the opposite direction.

It's currently sitting at the back of a very long "in development" story
queue right now.

Amy could have suggested hiring a surrogate mother, instead of trying to push Rory away! I am confident that Rory would have favored a surrogate mother over a divorce! The failure of Amy to suggest the surrogate mother option is therefore a nit.

paid and, prior to The TARDIS, Amy was a 'Singing Telegram'-type

How did they afford divorce lawyers?

The God Complex: The Doctor bought them a house and a nice car. I had assumed that he would also have set up a trust fund for them.

Amy was a successful model at the time of the divorce.

I am still amazed that saving the marriage was so easy,
once Amy explained what the problem was! BTW, why had it
taken her so long to explain that she was trying to push
Rory out so that he could find a woman who could give
him children?
what about suurogacy?
Good question! You have added to my nit!
How some 9 years later?
Amy and Rory could have used a surrogate mother, so Amy did not
NEED to shove Rory out!
6 months later. If they wished.
Amy could have suggested hiring a surrogate mother, instead of
trying to push Rory away!
As I understand it, Tim, whilst on The TARDIS, Amy and Rory were not
paid and, prior to The TARDIS, Amy was a 'Singing Telegram'-type
performer so, I'm guessing, not making a lot of money, and Rory was a
Nurse, and they are not paid as much as they are worth, so how could
they have afforded to pay for a surrogate mother, Tim??
Yads obviously thought that surrogacy was financially feasible, else he wouldn't have suggested it 7 iterations up!

I am confident that Rory would have favored a surrogate mother over a
divorce! The failure of Amy to suggest the surrogate mother option
is therefore a nit.
No nit what-so-ever, Tim!!

Insane Daleks are mostly unarmed.
Ad ofr Coleman, if only she could stay intact. Well

Daniel65 is wondering how Amy and Rory could afford surrogacy on their
Kissogram/Nurse salaries!
9 year gap then 8 month gap.

Got you Tim!

So nothing worthwhile to contribute .... but *HAD* to contribute,
none-the-less!!

Well done, clown!!

Oh! And by the way, clown .... (AKJV) Luke 6:42 Either how canst thou
say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine
eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then
shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

Dan's definition of clown comes from
http://www.chakoteya.net/DoctorWho/10-1.htm

JO: Look.
(The scanner shows William inside a pyramid shape. He was too ill to act, bless
him.)
DOCTOR 1: [on scanner] Ah, there you are. I seem to be stuck up here. Hmm? Hmm?
Oh, so you're my replacements. Huh. A dandy and a clown. Have you done anything?
DOCTOR 2: Well, we've, er, assessed the situation.
DOCTOR 1 [on scanner]: Just as I thought. Nothing.
DOCTOR: Well it's not easy, you know.

Get out of chronic hysteresis mode Dannyboy!

we await your reply, IYRC!

Dannyboy just wants his post count to increase.
Are you complaining that your post count is too low Dannyboy?

So who do you worship? Jesus Christ or the Pope?
And that is a mutually exclusive or.
