This is not just “shrinking expertise”. Nowadays all Einsteinians know that the speed of light is VARIABLE AS PER NEWTON. They silently leave Einstein's sinking ship and promptly become experts in quantum mechanics, AI, philosophy, meaning of life, biology, climate science, anything. Only Kip Thorne is still on the ship - his money is too heavy:

In the next version of fundamental physics the original malignancy, Einstein's 1905 nonsensical axiom

"The speed of light is constant"

will be replaced with the correct axiom

"For a given emitter, the wavelength of light is constant".

Yes, living with Einstein's relative time (spacetime), the idiotic consequence of Einstein's constant-speed-of-light nonsense, is unbearable (only Kip Thorne feels comfortable). Eventually Fotini started a less idiotic life:
