Dear comp.os.vms collegiates,

Greetings and salutations once again, from the VLF - the VMS
Liberation Front - Semper VMS: In VMS We Trust.

A brief VAX AXP VMS Hobbyist life-support VLF Communique - we've heard
that some have had difficulties.

We haven't felt the need to engage in the proceedings and transactions
of the VMS (VMS Memory Stewards) comp.os.vms college, for quite some
time, other than silently observing aperiodically, and we have been
quite dormant and quiescent, generally speaking, since the arising of
VSI, VMS Software International, and its qualified promise of a
future, and a dignified future, for VMS.

The VLF arose as a response to the crisis in VMS mindshare
preservation, and the risk of its extinction, that we perceived that
was devolving, circa 2012, and we dedicated our mission to addressing
and attending to that.

The NFO file in all of our releases, explicates in great detail our
perspectives, and there is no need to reiterate any of that in this
VLF communique:

https://pastebin.com/11cJ2ut9

The purpose of this VLF communique is to refamilarise the comp.os.vms
collegiate of the historical, extant, results of our VMS activism,
with the intention of providing perpetual long term support (LTS) for
the VMS (VMS Memory Stewardship) hobbyist scene - we recommend VMS
hobbyists download everything and then salt it all away, for a rainy
day, at the very least:

These are some filehost, cyberlocker, mass mirror, download links for
our releases:

Recommended Downloader - JDownloader, it cuts through a lot of the
filehost nonsense: https://jdownloader.org

MirrorCreator links work better with JDownloader directly. MirrorAce
links need to be manually processed, once initially, and then the
results can then be fed into JDownloader.

In addition to HTTP, we have also re-uploaded all of our releases to
the NNTP Usenet Binaries Newsgroup: alt.binaries.warez

https://binsearch.info/?max=250&g=alt.binaries.warez&a=VLF+%3Cvlf%40star.enet.dec.com%3E

We strongly advise downloading all our releases with sagacious,
prompt, pre-emptive, celerity.

If you understand and appreciate what the VLF do, then there is no
need to comment; if you neither understand nor appreciate what the VLF
do, then, again, there is no need to comment - rather attend your
attention and energies to keeping VSI on a policy and strategy, even
keel, straight and narrow - we gather there are some licensing model
design issues currently - VMS systems must be able to run perpetually,
regardless of the existential status of any vendor.

Thank you for your attention.

Semper VMS - to Infinity and Beyond!

Best regards,

The VMS Liberation Front

A long pre-VSI read, but still pertinent.

PPS: We do like to provide the best resources possible for the VMS
(VMS Mindshare Society) hobbyist scene - our somewhat ancient, but
still highly tractable, VLF Stromasys Charon VAX, and AXP, hardware
virtualisation releases are testament to that. Unfortunately we have
not had access to the latest Stromasys Charon hardware virtualisers
for a very long time and if anyone has access to the latest Stromasys
Charon VAX, AXP, and PDP versions, particular those that run on
GNU/Linux, but not excluding any Windows editions, we would be very
grateful for such retail installers.

Indeed, the VMS Liberation Front have a great love and admiration for
all VAX and AXP CPU architecture hardware virtualisers, and would
welcome and cherish retail installers for any and all of them,
however, we would never reverse engineer and then release them
publicly - we'd rather that all vendors thrive and remain viable - we
only reverse engineer and release the Stromasys Charon hardware
virtualisers - we just need their retail installers, absolutely
nothing else is required.

PPPS: Attention, Subcommandante BYPASS, comrade, if you are reading
comp.os.vms, can you please make contact, and check in, to reassure us
that you have not checked out - we have not heard from you in quite
some time, which is of great concern to us in these planetary scale
coronacrisis times, thank you.

PPPPS: As always, good people of the comp.os.vms college:

The VLF have just noticed that the root post has been erased from the
comp.os.vms archives on several newshosts - so it goes, so it goes,
the consciousness and conscience of the VLF will always be repaired.

There's the quick, and the unread.
