We had a run a while back of 50s songs remade later on.
Saw that. But I thought it was supposed to be good remakes. :)

Saw that. But I thought it was supposed to be good remakes. :)
It was, that's why I posted this excellent authentic sounding remake.
I tend to agree

As 1954 pop songs go I always thought "Teach Me Tonight" was one of
the better ones. Coupled with the late Amy Winehouse being one of the
best femme vocalists of modern times (she actually has a VOICE!)
and---apparently following the Dinah Washington template---the result
is a pretty decent remake.

I seem to remember her on TV doing a pretty good "Cry Me A River" that
might have also featured the same orchestra?
