Some aspects of certain widgets are not configurable enough
to get a perfect match, so not all of this hideous MS Access
interface could be duplicated, but most of it is there:

Only what Meat wants matters to Meat. There is nothing you or I can do to change that. It's a trolling addiction and it is what it is.

I am working on an idea which will show off how weak Systemd is. Studying Linux... forever a neophyte... So what is Meat's system for the flooding crap? JavaScript? That is the only language he knows, or admits to. He must be using it to write these idiotic "obsession" idiotic threads. Lemme conjecture, Meat took a FireFox extension that he reverse engineered and try to sell online... he is feeding it Google Groups data, grabbing random paragraphs, then mangling those using the Borůvka's algorithm and then he hand posts them because his obsessiveness enables him to do that essentially ceaselessly.

I nonetheless persist in being unpersuaded that these nonstop posts are from a bot.

Meat and the other trolls insist looking for guidance for an open source application is trolling. Requesting Meat to apologize, which we should all do, is different than quoting his dishonesty. My bottom line was that folk show up here so that they can engage those who disagree. It's not like we all don't know what this place is, Sandman included. In spite of my findings about Ubuntu, I continue to load it for those who have had difficulties with macOS, particularly if I know that they aren't quite good at using MS Word and navigating the file system.

Send me your tcl/tk hack as it stands - I downloaded ActiveTcl for

changing the rows in a drop down in response to a choice made in a list,
or aligning/sizing widgets.

This has the code for the Access form clone, and also a small sqlite
database with some code showing how to fill a table from a combobox
selection.

I'm barely qualified for a helloworld project when it comes to tcl/tk,
and most of this is based on bits and pieces I came across when searching
how to do various things, so there's probably a better way to do it.
The Access form stuff is messy also, because I made changes along the
way and had to re-parent widgets.

There are several methods of positioning widgets: place, grid, pack,
etc. "place" is the most flexible and intuitive because it uses x-y
coordinates, but I don't know how to use it for attaching a scrollbar to
a table. You can do it with pack and grid, but grid messes up a canvas.
(pack probably does too), so the solution I used was to put a table
inside a frame, using grid commmand for its scrollbar, then used "place"
command to position that frame on a canvas.

If you find the tcl/tk stuff useful, remember that there is the tkinter
thing for python, so you can write your code in python/tkinter.
(You know you want to get off Access and do your GUI db stuff with
postgres or something, right?) Sqlite supposedly has a lot of
builtin tcl/tk hooks. I haven't explored that.

Anyway, I suck at SQL, so give me some sample queries to use against
your usenet db for testing some widgets.

Yeah, that all sounds like a nightmare. You can actually move
everything around on an Access form with code, but it's not the usual way.

VB/Gambas/Access etc are generally just drop control on form and size it
and move it in place. I bet there's a palette-designer tool for this
tcl/tk stuff, too.

The backend for my Access client always was and still is SQLite (the
native Jet engine used by Access couldn't handle the file size and row
counts); the file USENET.sqlite is now 14GB, containing 2.62M posts in
4 newsgroups, going back to Jul 2003.

I'm definitely going to port the entire db permanently to something
other than SQLite (probably Postgres), but the SQLite query performance
is fine. But it's way slow to make changes to the tables or update
large rowcounts.

your usenet db for testing some widgets.
I sent recent 3000 total posts from cola and comp.lang.c. Unfortunately
I didn't think to remove 'frelwizzen' posts so there are a bunch of them
in there.

First thing to do is create a 'master view' to see all the data - if you
open table POST most of the data is just system-assigned ID numbers.

CREATE VIEW V_USENET AS

A GUI tool for querying would be helpful. On Windows I use SQLiteStudio
https://imgur.com/a/Ik6T0BL

The table POSTER is in the master view twice: once to see the name of
the person who sent the post, and again to see the name of the person
being replied to.

Once you have that VIEW in place, it's easy to query against. You can
actually use it to populate most of the front-end and the search
results, but it'll be very slow for some things so you want to write
individual queries instead.

That view of 3000 posts doesn't contain the table POSTERNAMEGROUP, which
will restrict the results to posts made by nyms I considered regs,
either currently or in the past.

The search option widgets (top to bottom, left to right) are standard:
lists (prefix 'list'), dropdowns (dd), text boxes (txt), option groups
(opt), check boxes (check), and buttons (btn).

On your form, I'll label them top to bottom left to right:

Name Source of data
--------------- ----------------------------------
listPosterName from db - SQL below
ddPosterFrom from db - SQL below
listPeriod hard coded list
listYear hard coded or simple function
ddMonth hard coded 1;Jan;2;Feb;3;Mar;...
ddNewsgroup from db - SQL below
txtDateStart manual entry, or based on choices
txtDateEnd manual entry, or based on choices
ddInReplyTo from db - SQL below
txtMessageID manual entry

optSubjectBody choose one with mouse
checkNewThreads true/false, choose with mouse
checkUnread true/false, choose with mouse
checkTwoWay true/false, choose with mouse
checkFilterImmed true/false, choose with mouse
listSort hard coded
btnSearch kicks off search code - dynamically build up a
SQL statement based on choices in widgets
btnReset resets search options to default
btnExport kicks off code to export search results
to csv or txt file, etc
--------------- ----------------------------------

SQL:

listPosterName (every poster)
SELECT POSTERID, POSTER
FROM POSTER
ORDER BY LOWER(POSTER);

listPosterName (regs only)
SELECT P1.POSTERNAMEID, P1.POSTERNAME
FROM POSTERNAME P1, POSTERNAMEGROUP P2
WHERE P1.POSTERNAMEID = P2.POSTERNAMEID
AND P2.GROUPID = <chosen newsgroup>
ORDER BY LOWER(P1.POSTERNAME);

ddPosterFrom
SELECT POSTERID, POSTER
FROM POSTER
WHERE POSTERNAMEID = <value chosen in listPosterName - regs only>
ORDER BY POSTER;

ddNewsgroup
SELECT GROUPID, GROUPNAME, GROUPABBR
FROM NNTP_GROUP
ORDER BY GROUPID;

ddInReplyTo
same SQL as listPosterName

Access lists and dropdowns have ColumnCount, ColumnWidths and
BoundColumn properties, so you never have to see the ID numbers, but you
can easily use them in code. If you can't hide those ID numbers in the
tk front-end it will look funky, but not the end of the world.

The table POSTER is in the master view twice: once to see the name of
the person who sent the post, and again to see the name of the person
being replied to.
Once you have that VIEW in place, it's easy to query against. You can
actually use it to populate most of the front-end and the search

individual queries instead.
That view of 3000 posts doesn't contain the table POSTERNAMEGROUP, which
will restrict the results to posts made by nyms I considered regs,

I'm definitely going to port the entire db permanently to something
other than SQLite (probably Postgres), but the SQLite query performance
is fine. But it's way slow to make changes to the tables or update
large rowcounts.

Anyway, I suck at SQL, so give me some sample queries to use against
your usenet db for testing some widgets.

Klaus Schadenfreude deceived Flooder Carroll some, big fucking deal. Flooder Carroll is being a wailing bitch about it? Well... like I said, Klaus Schadenfreude would never deny the flooder is Flooder Carroll, who is a self professed programmer but I don't know if it could be used to get by Google's spam filters. If Flooder Carroll calls getting his ass *kicked hard* for over a decade by everyone (and completely trashing his reputation and any reason for me to give credence to anything he has to say - until the cows come home) effective 'trolling', then yeah... he is a crack troll. I can not personally accept that view, I use another term. I call Flooder Carroll a complete dumb-ass. Are you being stupid on purpose? You're like a shark in a goldfish bowl. We all see you there and tell you as much. And you're so ignorant you keep failing to see it. Protected code is not enough to protect you.

For playing around with data like this it's nothing to sneeze at.
Since this is exclusively TEXT data, a compressed database
would be a LOT smaller than 14Gib, maybe only 1-2Gib.

But that junk SQLite doesn't support compression.

Of course DB access is slower with compression but that
junk python is slower than molasses regardless.

SQLite? Not so much for stuff like this.

I use python for loading the data and for some reports, and it's plenty
fast:

* 3.5 seconds to count daily posts for 3 years
* 3 seconds to count the Top 1000 words for 3 years

All display is Access via ODBC to SQLite. 0.18sec to load 800 posts to
screen.

For most I would just think the comment is worth looking into. Of course, given that it's Steven Petruzzellis I would skip that doubt and go straight to 'drug-induced delusion' because that's most of what he does. It is faster to assume it is a lie until proved otherwise. Once Jonas Eklundh grokked how effective Steven Petruzzellis is at portraying himself as the 'injured party' he has figured out this isn't as unbelievable as it was claimed. By listening to 'social warriors' like that you get concepts like 'liberalism'. Carried to its (il)logical intent, the media position that it's 'bigoted' for a hetero guy to not wish to have sex with a dead body is born. You can say I am Snoop Dogg for all I care. Any horrendously obsessive druggie could easily do the same. Perhaps you use it incorrectly. Do you not comprehend the use of VPN? If the content is a bunch of rambling bullshit. We know what that means.

Who are you even speaking to?

I think it's pretty UNimpressive to be that big and contain only 2.6M posts.

The main issue is the 1453-line Snitlist that Carroll posts 3x per day.

How many times is it in there as posted by me (as opposed to a forgery)?

search Sep 18 2013 to Sep 17 2018

To get the list I did a search on 'BaJoRi:', the 8th entry and a unique
word that probably didn't overcount. Of course I didn't view every post
to confirm it contains the full Snitlist.

You often enough felt compelled to post it multiple times a day (4x on
2015-08-18). The mental illness is strong.

of...
I think it's pretty UNimpressive to be that big and contain only 2.6M posts.
The main issue is the 1453-line Snitlist that Carroll posts 3x per day.
LOL! Yeah, I have been slacking, haven't I? ;)
How long did the search take?

LOL! The goal was once a week so I missed it by a mile ;)

Prescott Computer Guy asked to be rated according to objective trolling criteria, which Sandman accommodated. Thus, my earliest statement stands proper and correct.

Why the requirement to recode into WebAssembly via Tmux in a desktop system? Predictably, Prescott Computer Guy didn't define this as part of his self-serving 'test' <whatever>. In fact Prescott Computer Guy's lies became directed at me. So as might be expected I regret sending hardware to Prescott Computer Guy. While I am sure his shills loved it, I've not helped the situation at all.

The cult-like herd of convenient friends value being like everyone else instead of choice.

Hint: You will not go into a cult meeting, gulp down all the hard stuff, sexually assault all the children, lift the nicknacks and vomit in the lap of Sandman without being told to leave.

You're clueless!

No. The code builds a SQL statement using the dates on the screen:

SELECT columns
FROM tables
WHERE utcdate between '2013-09-18' and '2018-09-17'

So the db engine only considers those 5 years of data.

Your first cola post shows as Jan 16 2004, and if I use that as a start
date, still searching for 'bajori:', it takes 0.40 seconds and returns
126 hits.

Your first post of the Snitlist in cola was Sep 22 2009

I guess technically the query engine has to scan the entire table to
find dates within the range, but it uses an index (if available) so it's
very quick to eliminate the other years/values.

Earlier I wrote a query to look for broken references in a thread (shitv
and Agent was a culprit, as were you/Google Groups, and maybe others).

https://imgur.com/a/rlKX6xd

You can see how important indexing and primary keys are to the query
plan created by the db engine.

The results of that query show where shitv's lousy newsreader dropped
the first (and most important) reference.

Every post in the thread (excepting the initiating post) should have
<***@rooftop.invalid> as the first Reference (the column
named 'Top MsgID'). Once you lose that, you have to do more work to
find all the posts in the thread. I don't want to do more work.

Nearly all posters in this forum do programming either as a hobby or as a profession, so I think it unlikely anyone here consider automation to be "voodoo". Seriously, those of you who troll are not able to control Klaus Schadenfreude anymore. All that matters is that Snit 'The Moron' Glasser gets to impart his poorly written flyer and then hang up and giggle about it. The fact that Klaus Schadenfreude is an involuntary target on the other end of the phone is what gets him off.

The _ only thing you need in your "References:" and
"In-Reply-To:" lines is the post that you are replying to;
-- Nothing else is trustworthy, much less required.
That's your claim, but your References line in this post I'm responding
to is:

<0fa16ec0-49cb-44d1-8ef3-***@googlegroups.com>
<uRUnD.17699$***@fx10.iad>
<6e892106-1dbc-43ab-88f5-***@googlegroups.com>

<04d7ec5e-aff2-4cff-9cd1-***@googlegroups.com>
<6LYnD.42751$***@fx33.iad>

Why?

If you followed your own advice it would contain only the last one:
<6LYnD.42751$***@fx33.iad>

Also, it's ALL trustworthy if the newsreader adheres to the RFC
standards, which is exceedingly simple to do.

2.2.5 at https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1036
<quote>
If the original message does have a "References" line, the follow-up
message should have a "References" line containing the text of the
original "References" line, a blank, and the Message-ID of the original
message.
</quote>

It's not reasonable to carry forward dozens or hundreds of references,
of course, so at the very least keep the first messageID (the top level
post), and the last messageID (the one you're responding to).

Instead, you and other malcontents (including sloppy newsreaders) drop
the first reference, causing me and every other newsreader more work.

In all the posts I've captured, the largest reference line is 43 msg-IDs

Threading issues are one of the few weaknesses of Usenet. Far more
intrusive are forging and group flooding. But those are the price you
pay for openness, anonmyity and lack of censorship.

You've seen pics of my newsreader, but I recently added the ability to
Reply and generate New Posts. It's a hack between Access (construct the
post) and python (send it). But it works.

While I'm thinking about it: you recently said you weighed 240 or 245
(as I recall). That's 50% bigger than you were some years ago. Are you
trying to eat yourself to death? My brother tried to, but hasn't died yet.

With all the crowing Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude has done on this topic, the 'Top Programmer' doesn't know how to do this. It takes a couple seconds to click and drag across a sentence and 'reverse' it. Having to tolerate the use of Bash would just confuse the general user.

Only what Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude wants matters to Klaus 'Super Troll' Schadenfreude. There is nothing you or I can do to change that. It's a medical issue and it is what it is.

RonB (aka ronb) should know everyone knows he is just lying. So what is RonB (aka ronb)'s system for the flooding crap? Access? That is the only database he knows, at least that I have seen. He must be using it to create these stupid "group-killer" threads. Best conjecture, RonB (aka ronb) took some code that he stole and declared it his... he is feeding it content from this group, grabbing hand-picked paragraphs, then scrambling those using the Bellman–Ford algorithm and then he manually posts them because his mental health issues enables him to do that close to constantly.

Playing with Linux... still a greenhorn... I'm getting a lot of killed files. I'm guessing the nonsense is in its brain damage mode again. My killfiles have him/her/it completely shut out.

They imply looking for advice for a Linux application is instigating.

And you do realize that it isn't impossible for RonB (aka ronb) to be doing this, or paying one of his programmer "friends" to do it.

I think it's pretty UNimpressive to be that big and contain only 2.6M posts.
The main issue is the 1453-line Snitlist that Carroll posts 3x per day.
LOL! Yeah, I have been slacking, haven't I? ;)
How long did the search take?

So true.

Let's consider sci.physics which, as I have been informed, used
to be a valuable resource in the scientific community.

But doing a search on sci.physics today for a valid, bona-fide,
scientific topic like "quantum mechanics" or "dark matter"
will only produce thousands of useless articles written by
cloistered kooks.

That's why anyone who attempts to compile a Usenet archival
database is a total idiot.

The exception are the binary groups where much excellent material
is still to be found.

There are also many reputable scientists and engineers on the sci.*

physics at UC Berkeley:

I guess 'publish or perish' doesn't apply to him.

I bet Klaus Schadenfreude does not even know what is wrong with Trump. chrisv can create a virtual machine. Makes Klaus Schadenfreude cry because he can not. I just set score: -9999 and don't see the posts. Klaus Schadenfreude's attack has made a cesspool of cola via GG, so I don't waste time trolling your posts with my tablet anymore. Only thing he has achieved with this behavior is that the Klaus Schadenfreude ban will *never* be lifted. Was that meant to be to chrisv?

Pantheon is perhaps my second favorite DE and the only one I recommend to Mac morons. Primary interface is LXQt, though. Low memory use is all you require after you install it. It was Klaus Schadenfreude who flooded chrisv's site thousands of times and pretended he did not do it. Why do you keep rephrasing yourself? My view point: Even if Klaus Schadenfreude was merely researching for the sake of learning, the notion that acquiring understanding as being one of having "naught" to show for it doesn't make any sense because you'll by definition have the insight to show for it and knowledge is beyond Klaus Schadenfreude.

The one skill Zeus learned sufficiently is to try to humiliate Sandman into back peddling and if that fails to work, troll-splain or dishonesty change the goalpost.

You're like the amateur SC icon on a professionally designed desktop. We all see you sitting there and let you know. And you're so stupid you keep repeating it. So Zeus changed his story to Sandman talking about his family.

1) I spent a shitload of time posting arguments and drivel and
conversations to cola since mid-2004, and now I have a record of it all,
that I can search 6 ways to Sunday. For example, in literally one
second I can bring up every new topic I or anyone else ever created,
sorted by date or subject.

2) I developed end-user corporate apps for years... I LOVE capturing,
cleaning, querying, manipulating and displaying data. It's an obsession.

With this db and Access for display and a little code (most of the
reporting is in python), in a few seconds I can show how many posts
anyone made, by day and week total, going back to 2003. Then I can
dbl-click inside one of the cells in the report grid, and it loads those
posts.

On Nov 17 2015 you made 38 posts:

Usenet info is semi-structured, so it's a challenge sometimes. The
biggest issue is forgeries and nymshifts and changes to the From header
- to get accurate stats, you have to keep track of nyms and link them to
one master ID. Then there's newsreaders (and clownish posters like
Relf) that break threading intentionally. I came across a few Google
Groups posts that duplicated the References.

3) newsgroups can be educational; one of the comp.lang.c posters
published 'C Unleashed'.

Occasionally I'll refer back to the archive looking for some code I or
someone else wrote.

4) better this than watching TV (except keep your eyes open for the PGA

That's an honest answer, and a commendable one.

But applying such techniques to Usenet postings is statistically
meaningless. Usenet is not truly representative of anything.

The emphasis should be on the development of current skills and
not on a pointless rehash of the past.

Well, it ranges from a hobby to a serious passion for some people. The
guys on comp.lang.c and comp.lang.python are very focused on code and
development. cola is more a catch-all for hobbyists, advocates, trolls,
and anti-Linux people.

You're too young to be a net-nanny.

Building this Usenet system forced me to learn python/DB-API/nntplib,
some of the NNTP protocol, SQLite and some Postgres. So it wasn't too
much a waste of time. I suppose I should've created a cross-platform
GUI using Qt, so I could run it on Windows and Linux. I might still do
that.

And I'm gonna work on a rudimentary GUI in tcl/tk (I think owl is, too).
That's something you could do as well, and we can compare notes around
a central db structure.

In python I wrote an HTML scraper, a date-to-UTC converter, a database
connection manager, a word and phrase counter, and some nice domain
functions (DLookup, DCount, DMin, etc) that operate identically to those
in Access.

Sadly this is what arises when dangerously poor self confidence takes over Jeff Relf's worldview.

Yup. Sadly this is what we have to put up with. Psychopaths who clearly have no reason for being here other than to attack Peter Köhlmann. He inconveniences multiple groups of people who become collateral damage, but that's a conceited fool for you. What you and I care about isn't a factor.

Really, those of you who troll are not able to check yourselves anymore.

Jeff Relf is regularly seen insisting "GOOGLE HAS NOTHING" when it comes to info on a site where it is there multiple times... but Jeff Relf is just too dense and/or too in over your head to grasp any data he reads... or he doesn't recognize it _as_ data even when he does find it.

A Google Groups search for cola in 1995 showed around 1400 top-level

YTD 2018). So cola was fairly busy back then.

<https://gist.github.com/punchagan/7947337>

This comment from that site highlights what's probably the biggest issue:

"Thanks for doing this. It seems the big evil Google are trying to make things hard for us again by changing the class names"

I dunno about "evil" reasons but Google has changed class names (and the RSS
option is a no-go, as well).

A Google Groups search for cola in 1995 showed around 1400 top-level
threads (by comparison there have been around 900 new top-level threads
YTD 2018). So cola was fairly busy back then.
Unfortunately, it doesn't get all posts, I've seen plenty of replies to posts where
the original didn't appear on GG.

Like I said, I think all of it is in Google Groups, but good luck
getting it out in one piece. Maybe it can be scraped or otherwise pulled?
Pulled? I dunno from where...
Maybe a wget somehow?

but scraping would a huge and *very* slow job.
No problem. Let the job run in the background.

The Thing is the product of the truth that leftists have been hired to take over responsibility for instructing the next generation. It is not a coincidence that he is an idiotic Russian sympathizer. You do realize that the massive floods ending up in multiple groups started out as a joke about hacking Google.

Don't look now, but I think The Thing has a serious brocrush on Jonas Eklundh. It was The Thing who stated that he and his students used to shoplift all the time and it was arousing.

Perhaps you use it foolishly. Do you not realize the use of https? I reported The Thing years ago. As expected, it did squat to derail the dunderhead. Jonas Eklundh conned The Thing as much as he deserves, big fucking deal. The Thing is being a wailing bastard about it? The only way that I could overlook VPN's constant demand for fiddling because of programing problems or flaky updates is if I consumed the unending number of fantasies its ads have been pushing since 2001.

I bet there's a palette-designer tool for this
tcl/tk stuff, too.
Holy Godzilla mutherfuckers! I canna believes it:

http://vtcl.sourceforge.net

I was interested in using Tcl/Tk but after getting into
the documentation I became discouraged. I've got lots
of other fish to fry and I'd rather not devote time to
learning the intricacies of Tcl/Tk GUI design, relatively
simple though they may be.

But if this Visual Tcl stuff actually works like I think
it will work (I have to wait until later to try it) then
my problem is solved.

Thank the gods for these FOSS developers!!!

And, believe it or not, thank the gods for this Usenet group
as well. If that stupid stooge hadn't opened his mouth I would
never have been motivated to do a search.

And given how often it seems that Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis's .sig file is some twist of an observation Klaus Schadenfreude made which had been a bodyslam on Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis for something he did which was senseless/untrue/etc... its truly a daily expression of Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis's lingering unease for having been so repeatedly destroyed. It's a front page hog. Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis has already decided what he is going to say before he calls. What you say doesn't matter. What Klaus Schadenfreude says is beside the point. Translation of Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis speak: His "technical support competence" diverted his attention from an extension he insists does not exists that can be quickly Googled for Fedora. The only thing not working here is Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis.

What did Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis have to say about this miraculous, years long string of oddities? Most of the time he would try to push Klaus Schadenfreude to trust they're students of his who just happened to have unexplained agreement with him. Doesn't pass the laugh test. Steven 'The Shill' Petruzzellis is the effect of the reality that humanists have been employed to take the lead in educating our youth. It is not mere happenstance that he is a stupid communist.

Meat wants to punish everyone here: If he and his shills can't be the focus here then nobody will. Meat's cut down on the zillions of self obsessed, hogwash posts he used to post but he's unchanged in the morality territory. He just uses socks more now to spawn those posts. Meat can't get anything else to work, either.

Klaus Schadenfreude created at least one major circus in the last year or so. I am sure he and the herd are proud. Yup. Sadly this is what we have to deal with. Cretins who clearly have no reason for being here other than to upset me. Already moved on from that. Take it as you want!

Nah. I got a bit enthused for a moment but I then had to ask

I also thought about creating a GUI for my nutrient database,
but again, what the fuck for? I can just as quickly do a SQL
command to get the info I need.

A GUI is like getting all dressed up for dinner and then
sitting down at a table decked out with elegant dinner ware.
What the fuck for? The command line is grabbing a sandwich
from the fridge while dressed in your underwear. The end result
is the same but with much less trouble.

So read and post to Usenet via the command line, why don'tcha?

Thinking about it, I might write a quick python command line newsreader,
which would work like this:

$python usenet.py

Choose a server:
1 news.eternal-september.org
2 usnews.blocknews.net
2

connecting to usnews.blocknews.net...

choose a group number, or enter the group name:
1 comp.os.linux.advocacy
2 comp.lang.python
3 comp.databases.ms-access
1

connecting to <group>...

comp.os.linux.advocacy has N articles available. How many do you want
to list (max 25 at a time)?
10

<retrieve N articles, store data in array or db, sort by Subject|Date,
then list onscreen>

Enter the ID number of the article: 14

<retrieve and display content>

Enter P for the previous article, N for Next article, or enter the ID
number of the article you want to view:

<something like that>

I do. I have posted in-line images to this group using
newspost. But no one is able to read them and the mighty
Google Groups will reject them.

But they are there and they will certainly fuck up your
database when it discovers a yenc encoded binary file
stuffed in amongst the ordinary text.

Sorry. My programming is limited to stuff that no one on this

It's all very dry and boring computational physics and engineering.

For example, I am now using posix threads for parallelism.
I could post an example but no one would care.

Spending effort possibly educating yourself isn't a waste. Believing you know more than everyone else and attempting to convince people that it's true? That is a waste ;) Meat does not know if there is a free open source that promotes PEE. And you do realize that it isn't impossible for Meat to be doing this, or getting help from someone with a clue? Turns out Meat's persistent referencing of Sandman met the agreed on criteria of trolling, so he abandoned that, too.

These posts are clearly not automated, they are made by a glue sniffing stalker with a personal vendetta who has way too much time on his hands (and possibly has other trolls helping him). How Chris Ahlstrom figures out when to use the flood script: http://usenet.sandman.net/misc/snit_flood.

No, no, no, no. ABMT is a binary group.

I have posted binary files to the text group COLA and that

For most I would merely suspect it is suspicious. Given that it's Meat I would drop that step and go straight to 'trolling' because that's most of what Meat does. IOW, he's earned it. Lines of text containing your own words reflected in a funhouse mirror.

Bravo, The Flying Spaghetti Monster, you are now living rent-free inside Meat's beady little brain. Lul.

A constant, fervid, posting itch, regardless of content - basically slippery Meat lawyers, and well-lubricated sheep, immobilized with chains for his own personal desires.

No one here has ever read my program, much less found a bug; still, in my subconscious, I'm thinking, "That's wrong, how embarrassing". So why the need to recode into WebAssembly via Elementary OS in a desktop system? Whatever, Meat didn't initially list this as part of his unsurprisingly never ending expansion of 'specification'. How is Firefox on Linux doing anything above the lowest common denominator?

The full farce is brimming of unbelievable inconsistencies and leans heavily on Klaus Schadenfreude's 'riding chrisv's ass' nonsense. Right, Klaus Schadenfreude is pushing to retail an XML reference, which anyone can get blindfolded, that anyone can learn from a video. If he wasn't so lost he'd realize how screwed up he sounds. Calls it "trolling" him, even though he proceeds to elicit that exact criterium. Frankly I do not really think you understand. Everyone is Klaus Schadenfreude -- the oldest gag in the book. Klaus Schadenfreude claims that he uses Android, while he never installed it on bare metal and fully tested it. At times, fantasy is more valuable than truth. Protected code is totally screwing up your program.

You refuse to take blame for your own words. Actions that are easily seen to be trolling. You purchased it and did extensive testing and your "intuitions" lead you to that assumption, so what?

I could answer the Script-Troller directly but he's a dolt who twists what you say to fulfill his craving to call everyone a con artist. From what I've seen it looks like the flood script got more sophisticated. And in retaliation you have nothing but a crack to start a circus.

You do realize that the massive floods ending up in multiple groups started out when the Script-Troller was quoted lying. Don't look now, but I think the Script-Troller has a serious woody for Michael Glasser Snit. Not only did Michael Glasser Snit's question not allude to the "Elementary OS", it has nada to do with UNIX. the Script-Troller should stop sniffing glue ;)

That does look nice. Cross platform! I like how, in their "find and
replace" screenshot, they have "find: visual basic", and "replace
with: visual tcl".

We use a little bit of tcl around here, but have mostly moved to
python and (gag) Labview.

That does look nice.
Tcl/Tk has the best looking widgets in the GNU/Linux world.
They are simple yet crisp, colorful, and even slightly elegant.
They look MUCH better that either GTK+ or that bloated Qt.
They even look a LOT better than the drab and lifeless Microshit
Winblows junk.

They are also quite versatile, with event-driven (i.e. interrupts)
features.

The question, however, is what can be done with all of this.
I really don't need it.

For most I would say the comment is worth looking into. Of course,
given that it's chrisv I would ignore that doubt and go straight
to 'lie' because that's most of what chrisv does. Meaning no
evidence is required to deem it dishonest. So what's chrisv's
system for the flooding deluge? AppleScript? That is the only tool
he knows, isn't it? He must be abusing it to create these goofy
"obsession" garbage posts. My hypothesis, chrisv took Steven
Petruzzellis's code that he stole and pretended was his... he's
feeding it Steven Petruzzellis's posts, grabbing offensive
paragraphs, then altering those using automated reinforcement
learning and then he hand posts them because his insomnia enables
him to do that practically endlessly.
The content is a bunch of randomized bullshit. That points to one
person. Real discussion will be destroyed once the trolls
overpopulate. That, and there will always be a butthurt insomniac
or two in an open news group (hint: chrisv). The specifics of the
bullshit aside, we have all seen who routinely gets angry when he
does not get a response.

Why? Did he leave COLA because of you?

Access lists and dropdowns have ColumnCount, ColumnWidths and

Facts about Steve "Steven Petruzzellis" Carroll

Steve "Steven Petruzzellis" Carroll will be 60 years old on August 29, 2018 and yet is still single, broke and yet with his skills he has nothing to show for it but flooding Usenet. He blames Meat for his loss of his wife and girlfriend and his begging of older women to sleep with him (http://www.seniorpeoplemeet.com/v3/externalsearch/singles?Profile=1AE1BDAAFC6D6F08ACA0C235BB8ED21D&Username=STEVECARROL). Steven is jealous of what Meat has and in a narcissistic rage repeatedly works to take it away from him. For over 10 years he has failed at even this. Steve "Steven Petruzzellis" Carroll is an utter failure in life.

Of his online life Steven says

I've been booted off by past providers before because people
complain about me and all my bullshit. I don't want to lose my ISP
*again* but I still need my army of sock puppets so I continually
search usenet for whatever servers I haven't yet been booted
from.

Some examples where Steven has been booted

X10 Hosting booted Steven for inappropriate activity
http://tinyurl.com/z92qmz4

Comcast booted Steven for inappropriate activity
http://tinyurl.com/h75nh9l

FreeHostingEU booted Steven for copyright infringement http://devsite.eu.pn

AwardSpace (atwebpages.com) booted Steven for breaking terms of service
http://demsites.atwebpages.com/pokeman

Imgur took down an image for breaking terms of service http://imgur.com/yv2XppE

Had a GigaNews account which was removed for harassing Meat

Stopped posting from his fretwizzen Google account since shortly after I complained. Seems he lost that too.

His wife booted Steven to the curb for cheating on her

Only site Steven Petruzzellis has pointed to that has ever been available
http://web.archive.org/web/20161019062351/http://www.oldneighborhoodrestaurant.net/
https://goo.gl/DMno6J

Made by the Go Daddy Website builder and is utter crap. Later he denied he said he was merely taking credit for someone else's work but Steven is the contact person http://tinyurl.com/hcw6dul
http://web.archive.org/web/20161202192456/http://www.reservationdiary.eu/eng/reservation/d76d1156-e9f7-43c1-b77b-b07189857820

He also bragged he was working on an update and showed it here https://vid.me/u6RK

The business still failed.

He likely went to the Go Daddy Website Builder after he failed to get WordPress installed.

https://mu.wordpress.org/forums/topic/13879

This is why Steve "Steven Petruzzellis" Carroll attacks Meat.

Steven Petruzzellis was is divorced on June 22 , 2012 at the Golden Municipal Court House because his wife caught him screwing another woman.

Meat is married and by all appearances happily so.
He never complains about his wife in COLA.

Steven Petruzzellis is living on charity of a friend in a single room.

Meat does not live in a mansion or even a high end home but has a house and a yard.

Steven Petruzzellis has two kids but no respect. He repeatedly called Ryan his "little screwup" and refers to his son Steve as a "dick" and worse. He says at least one of them likely hacked his computer and is a "mentally deficient child." He mocks his possible future daughter-in-law as someone who takes too many selfies and is focused only on herself

Meat has two kids (or more) and never speaks poorly of them in public.
No reason to think they are not a happy family.

Steven Petruzzellis claims to be a stay at home dad who pays thousands of dollars for day care. Steven has no job and no purpose in life. Steven has given up and now seeks a mother-figure to date.

Meat has his own business doing technical work and also teaches.
Meat offers a true contribution to society.
Teachers are truly under appreciated.

Script-Troller's posts are nothing but a senseless babble.

You are six seconds away from being in Steven Petruzzellis's kill filter. Steven Petruzzellis has been tracking him to understand the depths of Script-Troller's narcissism.

Ha! C'mon, hombre... even you have kill filtered that loon. Given what he is (and does) nary a soul could find fault with you for working to be rid of his brand of BS. I'm getting more posts hidden then show. I'm guessing the sock frenzy stalker is in its brain damage mode again. Drives the trolls crazy when they do not get attention.

By being taught by 'teachers' like that you get phrases like 'equality'. Carried to its (un)reasonable resolution, the concept that it's 'unequal' for a conservative dude to not wish to have sex with a gay man is created. Honestly, those of you who troll are not able to check Xfce anymore.

All joking aside, what lie? What I do is certainly technically correct.

Klaus Schadenfreude's original statement stands sincere and correct. I will not ask William Poaster how any part of Klaus Schadenfreude's rear tastes no matter how many times William Poaster kisses it. Complete rot by a delusional, tall-tale telling, conniving, colluding knuckle-dragger who couldn't tell the truth even if you paid him to. William Poaster's posts are nothing but a meaningless brain dump. You are as clever as a gibber monkey. Only what William Poaster wants matters to William Poaster. There is nothing you or I can do to change that. It's a chance to cause harm and it is what it is.

And in reply you have nothing but an attempt to start a circus. I am fanboi of Linux, because that's where all the compelling ingenuity is happening.

Just look at your scripts and look at mine, there is nothing for anyone to learn from an idiot like F. Russell. But hey, let him keep making a dunce of himself. Any horribly wounded insomniac could easily do the same.

Only what F. Russell wants matters to F. Russell. There is nothing Steve Carroll can do to change that. It's a mental health problem and it is what it is. This forum is a cesspool.

Now that nobody is talking to F. Russell, he's making it sound like he's gotten what he wants -- when in fact, people are just finally wisening up to his crap.

Steve Carroll's computer has more memory than F. Russell's. Steve Carroll wins. F. Russell loses.

Given how regularly it is clear that Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh's .sig file is some distortion of a quote Klaus Schadenfreude wrote which had been a bodyslam on Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh for something he did which was daffy/wrong/etc... its clearly a repeated expression of Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh's deep rooted embarrassment for having been so frequently destroyed: Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh is obviously incapable of being shown a mirror. These losers get their thrill out of provoking angry reactions to their lies, which is the very definition of a troll. Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh loves that Klaus Schadenfreude is on the other end. Imagine if Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh walked up to a chimpanzee and delivered the punch line. It wouldn't be amusing. No-one gets it, I barely understand it. For all the crowing Sandman, AKA Jonas Eklundh has done on this topic, the 'SEO Consultant' does not get how to do this. It only takes a couple seconds to highlight text and 'sign' it.

When I was being honest, I wanted to be reasonable and open minded. I gave Ronb more than a rational person generally would. This is undoubtedly a joy of mine. Despite my deep experiences with Fedora, I still continue to install it for clients who've had complications with Windows 10. At times, a make believe world is more valuable than facts.

Thanks to Ronb and his 'convenient friends' you now need an IP filtering system (which I set up for NewsLeecher and Unison). If others start trolling him again I will not be able to stop myself... as I hate him too much to not. I'm referring to good people here, not trolls, who will never agree to stop.

Klaus Schadenfreude owns Steven Petruzzellis in every way possible. Steven Petruzzellis has yet to show how Bash does anything above the LCD on Linux.

If you have 'a.doc' open in a user space program such as sc and you want to change its name to 'c.txt' via a proxy icon, Klaus Schadenfreude's method might be wise.

Klaus Schadenfreude's actions are actually perfectly dishonest. There can be zero dispute that as soon as any pardoned 'plonkee' does one thing to hurt the feeble wimp's feelings that they will be blocked again.

Klaus Schadenfreude must grasp Jonas Eklundh knows he is just lying.

Klaus Schadenfreude suffers from neurotic nightmares so, to him, everything, even simple comments about tech, are "vilification". Who doesn't know this? And in response you have nothing but an attempt to start a circus.

Just stupid trolling. And I am replying to that trolling. THAT is what the "Klaus Schadenfreude circus" is. The lone thing that concerns Klaus Schadenfreude is arguing he is "right", and if he can not have that he will flood to actively shout "others" down, which only serves to push the group off topic.

Well... like I said, I have a number of reasons for believing the flooder is Snit Glasser, who is a self professed web developer but I don't know if it could be used to flood so much. This forum is a cesspool.

Gee, imagine Snit Glasser trying to pin his trash on others, no one has ever seen that before 8|.
