When the Daleks arrive at UNIT HQ, why doesn't UNIT break out its heavy guns?
What heavy gun?
UNIT has battled Daleks and other tough aliens on many occasions, so its scientists should certainly have long since developed good anti-Dalek weapons!

Wouldn't UNIT at least have bazookas and other missile type weapons?

Why hasn't UNIT simply shown the UN pictures of the Daleks, Cybermen et al, and asked for permission to use heavy weapons against them? I am certain that the UN would allow UNIT the weapons needed to fight Daleks if it were shown how tough Daleks are.

Based on the Juddons' ability to provide a hospital on he Moon with Earth level gravity during "Smith and Jones", I infer that the Juddons have artificial gravity technology. Since the Juddons work for the Shadow Proclamation, I infer that the SP would also have artificial gravity technology, so wouldn't need to rotate to provide gravity!

No, some birds will fly during the day and/or at night!! Why, just the
other day, I saw an Owl (normally a night bird) swooping on a bug at
about 3:00p.m.!!

Why would it happen to have angular momentum? Wouldn't the builders of the Shadow Proclamation station have held it stationary while building it?

How would a chap with wings 5 rounds rapid cause the UN to limit UNIT's weaponry?
Under UN regulations.
Its regulations prohibit chaps with wings 5 rounds rapid?

But couldn't Kate show the relevant UN officials videos of Daleks, Cybermen, etc being impervious to bullets? Wouldn't that be convincing?

What heavy gun?
I note that Jack Harkness of Torchwood does have a good anti-Dalek gun, as does Rose Tyler, Jackie Tyler, and Mickey. Why hasn't Jack given that technology to UNIT?

Why do Gwen and Rhys only have ordinary guns as a Dalek tries to enter Torchwood Cardiff? Shouldn't they have obtained from the storeroom the same type of gun Jack had?

When the Daleks arrive at UNIT HQ, why doesn't UNIT
break out its heavy guns?
What heavy gun?
The ones UNIT scientists would have developed in
response to alien threats.
Perhaps those heavy guns were still under
development, Tim, so could not be used.
What is taking so long (since at least 1980s!).
UNIT may have been very busy doing other stuff, Tim!
Torchwood does the adaptation work.
Yet their guns wimpy also!
Compatability!!
I had assumed that both groups would place a high priority on
developing anti-Dalek & anti-Cyberman weapons!
And how compatable is it with Earth tech?
Well, seems as both Torchwood and UNIT are Earth based
organisations, I would expect just about anything they produced
would be reasonably compatible with Earth tech, idiot!!
To adapt to alien technology?
Maybe, ... or developing brand new Earth-type tech!!

No, but from what I have seen on TV, TW & UNIT have done remarkably little in that field, which I find incredible.

Doctor Who and Torchwood are made in Britain. You're confusing them with
American shows. A lot of people outside the USA believe that weapons aren't
always the best solution to every problem.

Torchwood did consider weapons as a solution to at least one problem: They destroyed the Sycorox ship on 12/25/05!

Perhaps those heavy guns were still under development, Tim, so
could not
be used.
What is taking so long (since at least 1980s!).
UNIT may have been very busy doing other stuff, Tim!

Torchwood does the adaptation work.
Yet their guns wimpy also!
Compatability!!
I had assumed that both groups would place a high priority on developing
anti-Dalek & anti-Cyberman weapons!
Doctor Who and Torchwood are made in Britain. You're confusing them with
American shows. A lot of people outside the USA believe that

always the best solution to every problem.
But UNIT & Torchwood both seem like organizations that would regard
weapons as solutions to Dalek &Cyberman problems, so should place a high
priority on weapons research.
They destroyed the Sycorox ship on 12/25/05!
And who was PM of the UK?
Harriet Jones. But I see no reason for that to cause Torchwood to skimp on weapons R & D.
IRC , Tony Blair.

The ones UNIT scientists would have developed in response to
alien threats.

I am confident that TW & UNIT could obtain Earth produced bazookas, rockets, & RPGs for use against hostile aliens. No need to wait for the R & D folks to adapt alien weapons.

How does that keep them from simply ordering my suggested weapons from armaments companies/defense contractors? (Where do they buy their guns & military vehicles?).

At the start, people and even a computer kept saying "Look at the sky!"
Why didn't anyone just say "There are strange planets in the sky!"?
The Same thing said differently.
To me, there seems a significant difference between "Look at the sky" and "There are strange planets in the sky"
