Florida only reports its COVID-19 cases once per day...for the
*previous* day.
Go to the Worldometers US COVID-19 page at
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ at about 9:00am.
Sort by New Cases, and Florida will be at the top of the states, with
four to five times as many cases as the next highest state. Take a
screen shot, or otherwise capture Florida's number.
Now come back at 3:00pm or later and refresh the page. Florida's number
will be unchanged.
What a fucked-up shithole Florida is!
The Jewel of the Trump loving Red States.

The protests are occurring in one block of Portland. Get two blocks away,
and you'd never know anything was going on. Portland is an excellent
city...as is Seattle. If you weren't such a freeloading dole scrounger,
you could afford to live in one of them.

Jon Stewart: “It’s not pizza, it’s a ... casserole. He goes on to call
deep-dish pizza an “above-ground marinara swimming pool for rats” and
would like to be assured that when he gets drunk and passes out on his
pizza, he won’t drown in it."

“I’m surprised you haven’t thought to complete your deep dish pizza by
putting some canned onion rings on top of it. It’s a cornbread biscuit
which you melted cheese on and then in defiance of man and God and all
things holy you poured uncooked marinara sauce atop the cheese. Atop.
The cheese. On top! The sauce, naked, cold, on display like some sort of
sauce whore.”

“With all due respect, I realize it’s very cold in Chicago,” says
Stewart. “It’s very cold, it’s windy, you need to be able to, I don’t
know, have a pizza and maybe cut it open and climb inside to keep warm.”

It was good... but I didn't think it was pizza.

Pizza needs to be eaten with the hands... hopefully without a bib.

You seem to need a primer in what pizza is available in Chicago: thin
(cracker thin) crust, regular crust, thick crust or double dough, deep
dish, and stuffed. Stuffed by its nature has to be eaten with a knife
and fork, deep dish can be like that depending on what restaurant is
making it, but the others don't, so I'm crying foul on your and
Stewart's characterization. Meanwhile, NYC, the biggest metro area in
the country, has one kind of crust, the kind you pick up and it acts
like a limp dick. You can see why Chicagoans might feel like they have
bragging rights. As an example Rosati's is a very popular chain in and
around Chicago, check out their pizza offerings:

Go to the Worldometers US COVID-19 page at
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ at about 9:00am.
Sort by New Cases, and Florida will be at the top of the states, with
four to five times as many cases as the next highest state. Take a
screen shot, or otherwise capture Florida's number.
Now come back at 3:00pm or later and refresh the page. Florida's number
will be unchanged.
What a fucked-up shithole Florida is!

"The percent of all tests coming back positive reached 16.1% Thursday,

of a large number of negative tests being reported on that day, and not
part of a promising trend."

No.

One month ago, the daily seven-day rolling average number of deaths was
between 30-35. Two weeks ago, it was about 50. One week ago it was about
90. Now, it is about 120.

No. As always, Steve Blows All Losers and Fools is caught lying.

The seven day moving average of deaths in Florida has been rising
continually since July 1.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/

Deaths last four days:

July 19 - 87
July 20 - 90
July 21 - 132
July 22 - 140

Deaths are rising in Florida, not falling. Steve Blows All Losers and
Fools lied again.

The data from Worldometers do not come close to the Florida Department
of Health (FDOH) Data. After a bit of research, I know why. As explained
in this article from the Orlando Sentinel
(https://tinyurl.com/y5y4pmym), Worldometers (and others) classify
deaths by the day they were reported, while the FDOH classifies them by
the date of death.

In the article, look for the chart titled "Florida COVID-19 deaths by
date announced." The red line shows deaths by date reported
(Worldometers), showing a continued upward trend. The black line shows
death by date of death (FDOH) and shows more than small bump followed by
a slight downturn starting on July 13.

The problem is for the most recent dates, the FDOH data are not
complete. The numbers from July 13 till now will continue to go up as
more people are reported to have died on those dates. Putting it another
way, you can't yet tell from the FDOH data whether there has been a
downturn.

Stay tuned.

<LOL> Sorry, but date of death is the most current. Counting them to
be on the day they were reported is likely to be hugely inaccurate and
lagging. There has been a downward trend for a full week now, and
still Florida's death count is one of the lowest.

Nice try, you poor sad fool, but I doubt very much that Florida DOH is
a week behind in reporting deaths and reporting the date of the death
is a foolish way to calculate the death rate. Remember that a death
recorded on any date will still show the date of the death. Your
arguments are nonsense. That's typical of you, and you usually run
away when I call you out on them...

Florida covid-19 deaths are decreasing.
No.
One month ago, the daily seven-day rolling average number of deaths was
between 30-35. Two weeks ago, it was about 50. One week ago it was about
90. Now, it is about 120.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/
Sorry, but I'm right.. There was a small bump, but its going down
again.
https://fdoh.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/8d0de33f260d444c852a615dc7837c86
You can't (at least yet) reach the conclusion that deaths are trending
downward because you can't know how many yet-to-be-reported deaths
occurred in the last week.
The numbers have already been proven to be crunched, so fuck off with
you "stats" and "polls".

They reported a record 173 deaths yesterday and it appears not many of
those were ascribed to within a week (had they been, those numbers would
have shot up).

Anyone who is objective will have patience to see where the numbers go.

Or putting it another way, you can view the Worldometers data as the
situation about one week ago. Thus, deaths in Florida have risen
steadily up through one week ago. And, we do not yet know what has
happened since then, and won't until a week from now.

As of now, yes. But perhaps by this time next week, there will be more
than 108 deaths on some day from July 17-24.

Deaths are always the LAST thing that happens. It's a lagging indicator
because it happens anywhere from weeks to months after the initial
infection.

Florida covid-19 deaths are decreasing.
No.
One month ago, the daily seven-day rolling average number of deaths was
between 30-35. Two weeks ago, it was about 50. One week ago it was about
90. Now, it is about 120.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/florida/
Sorry, but I'm right..  There was a small bump, but its going down
again.
https://fdoh.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/8d0de33f260d444c852a615dc7837c86
You can't (at least yet) reach the conclusion that deaths are trending
downward because you can't know how many yet-to-be-reported deaths
occurred in the last week.
Nice try, you poor sad fool, but I doubt very much that Florida DOH is
a week behind in reporting deaths
They reported a record 173 deaths yesterday and it appears not many of
those were ascribed to within a week (had they been, those numbers would
have shot up).
Anyone who is objective will have patience to see where the numbers go.
"Of the 135 new deaths confirmed Friday, half occurred more than a week
earlier."
...and how many on any particular day? The hard cold fact is that
there are no deaths recorded on any day that are not shown on the
Florida DOH display.. The recent day's death may not be complete, but
it always shows *all* the recorded deaths.. and on they day they
occured. The trend is steadily down for more than a week now..

Neither of us knows. The only reasonably accurate snapshot we have is
what the situation was about one week ago.

But the history says that Florida's deaths/1m population and
deaths/covid cases is one of the lowest. I'm definately not buying
into the Democrat fear mongering.

Your comment, while true (as of now), has no relevance to the debate
over whether death rates are rising in Florida.

The announcement that they just had 173 deaths reported indicated that
the data is misleading. I'll take the Florida DOH data, rather than
your website.

There have been no days that the deaths exceeded 108 and that was a
week ago. The dishonest media needs far more deaths to that if they
want to ruin the economy.

I guess you think it is time for Florida to open up again, having not
learned the lesson just taught in which Florida has had 2500 deaths
since the third week of June (the total number of deaths since then is
the same whether you use the date of death or the reported date).

They reported a record 173 deaths yesterday and it appears not many of
those were ascribed to within a week (had they been, those numbers would
have shot up).
Where do you find data about the week in which the deaths occurred?

I don't know. My claim was based on eyeballing the date of death data
from two different days. Also as I posted previously, it appears the
Miami Herald knows:

"Of the 135 new deaths confirmed Friday, half occurred more than a week

That's the graph I was eyeballing. The question is for the 135 new
deaths reported today, how many of them died on 7/22, 7/21, 7/20, ...?
that is, typically how much delay is there in reporting deaths?

Prove that is typical of the delay... and then explain why I should
give credance to reports that cover a week... Even if I believed it,
I'd have to see the daily reports every day. How do I know that the
five days before that report had zero deaths?

It's an old math joke abusing the notion of limits. A limit is a
sequence of numbers that get closer and closer to the limit value
without actually reaching it, but getting close enough you can
say you arrived.

It also shows up in things like for large values of x, x+1 is
almost the same as x, and the difference can be ignored in some
contexts.
