"The goal of representative democracy should not be sending the most
aggressive team of brigands to Washington, to pillage the other states.
The unseemly haste of Democrats to buy enough votes for their awful
health-care bill, and push it through by Christmas, is reminiscent of a
gang of thieves panicking at the sound of a burglar alarm going off, and
racing to stuff pillowcases full of swag before the cops show up." --

That's his only expertise, as he's incredibly stupid about the tax code

I'll take that back - he's an expert at barfing back some clueless

Shhh... he missed it!

This quote struck home because I got the impression that congress was
trying to ram this through before they got their sorry asses thrown out.

But heck. If they're not worried about violating the Constitution to
mandate we buy something from a private party and control the price that
we pay, why should they worry about a silly thing like "elections".

You don't know shit about what I think, pal and you are too dumb to
understand if I told you. As for "elections" - you lost. Deal with it. I
am sure you were outraged when repugs blocked all dem amendments to their
bills for 4 solid years. Your nascent outrage is impressive but rather
shallow and transparent.

Actually, it is. I'm in the process of dropping 40-50 pounds. When I
do that, my best guess is that I can stop taking the 4 hypertension
medicines I have been prescribed.

My wife got the Wii Fit for Christmas, and I've been playing 30 - 45
minutes of it almost every night (trying to substitute it for snacking).
I'm down about 5 pounds since Christmas. (Well, I'm also trying to
eat well and cut down on the snacks).

As much as I argue with you Paul, I'd really like to see you get healthy
so we can continue the rivalry well into our 80's :)

There's no reason you can't beat the trend, Paulie...

I've already lost a good couple of inches in the waistline, even while
ignoring the diet for the holidays. We could all get nice and thin at
the same time, and add an extra 10-15 years to our fueds... ;-)

I've already lost a good couple of inches in the waistline, even while
ignoring the diet for the holidays. We could all get nice and thin at
the same time, and add an extra 10-15 years to our fueds... ;-)
While I wish you all long and healthy lives, it's ALSO possible that
you could lose several pounds and inches and die from a stroke or heart
attack next year. Genetics is a powerful force.

Genetics are mutable by the food you eat, read about epigenetics.
Your grandchildren can have their genetics effected by what you eat
during your teens.

Boy howdy do I ever! Byetta alone is 300.00 bucks a month. You'd get it
for 10 bucks, being a ward of the taxpayers and all.
If you'd lose some weight and get some exercise you might be able to
jettison the Byetta. Then there would be more money in your pocket for
beer, porn and lottery tickets.
It worked well for you, I take it?
I was talkin with my orthopedic surgeon last week (recovering from
rotator cuff surgery) and he mentioned that he's been seeing a LOT of
people with RMI's (repetative motion injury?) - they're calling it WI-
itis - and sadly, a lot of them are either kiddos (or seniors who were
talked into it at the local center) and end up needing surgery.... so
take care with that WI-: tennis, bowling, cricket, whatever! :-)

My favorite is what I call the "flappy bird game". You stand on the
balance board, and flap your arms and the goofy looking Mii thingy in
the chicken suit (complete with comb in the head) takes off. You have
to land on a number of pilons for points. :)

I also like playing the golf game. I usually limit myself to 30-45
minutes a night.

Repugs rammed no less than six bills, including Shrub's tax cuts for
billionaires through under reconciliation. Didn't hear you piss and moan
then.
Sucks being a sore loser, eh?
Paul
We'll all be the losers Paul.
CigarBaron
So why does the AMA like it?
Paul
Because the AMA represents a small fraction (like 20%) of doctors.- Hide quoted text -

Correct, and to remain at "the table" the intelligencia has sold its

They don't, they're just playing along to continue to be at the
table. The AMA represents less than 40% of the physicians out there,
and they're composed of a great number of foreign trained MDs. Ask
the general physician what they think. BTW, I'm a member of the AMA
and quite active. I disagree with a lot of the policies of the parent
organization.

Marc,

You are comparing your real world experience with Paul's great reservoir of
emotionally charged and left-wing blog shaped opinion. How dare you inject
actual inside knowledge of a subject into a discussion with Paul.
