Speaks for itself.
AOC offers solutions to deal with climate change and you offer nothing but
lies.
Amazing to watch.
Below you offer NOTHING to suggest you have better ideas than her, you
show you do not even understand what she proposes (she never says to
eliminate the internal combustion engine), and you because you know you
have no solution you deny the problem (or at least one she is addressing.
Of course she wants to eliminate the internal combustion engine.
See: you have no counter to her ideas so you lie about them. This is
EXACTLY what I am talking about. Conservatives are all but completely
devoid of any idea on how to solve issues. Instead they lie and deny.
"Among the most prominent, the deal calls for "meeting 100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources." The ultimate goal is to stop using fossil fuels entirely, Ocasio-Cortez's office told NPR, as well as to transition away from nuclear energy."
Internal combustion engines use fossil fuels. You can't "stop using fossil fuels
entirely" without eliminating the internal combustion engine. And what does she think is going to power our airplanes?
That is not a part of the Green New Deal. It says nothing about it.
In the long run, sure, a full transition makes sense. And, really, I can
see where you can say even the GND is too much and not possible. I can
see where Republicans might want to offer competing ideas.
And I think THAT is the point. Get the Republicans and others who are so
lost they feel the need to deny the problem instead of even trying to
consider solutions to break out of that level of stupidity.
But first we need to get people to have SOME understanding of science
and not be so lost they say stupid things like scientific predictions
are not scientific, as if the predictions about when the sun will rise
tomorrow (based on very precise calculations) are not truly scientific.
It is amazing how ignorant some people are of even BASIC scientific
ideas. Then you compound that and get those who deny man-made global
climate change or say it is not a harmful thing when we know otherwise
(to a very high level of confidence).
Post by bigdogPost by SnitPost by bigdogOne of the
goals is to "meeting 100 percent of the power demand in the United States
through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources." You can't do that
without eliminating the internal combustion engine.
A claim you cannot back because you made it up. You are simply lying. It
is not as if this is a question of different views: you are simply lying.
Do you know of any internal combustion engines that don't burn fossil fuels?
Yes. Absolutely. Biofule is a real thing.
Post by bigdogDidn't think so.
The fact you do not even know bio-fuels exist is amazing. Truly. There
are ones that run on ethanol and even ones that run on USED oil from
fast food places and the like. Here, a McDonald's franchise owner that
uses his own french fry oil to do that!
http://www.nbcnews.com/id/11809771/ns/us_news-environment/t/fry-fuel-mcdonalds-franchisee-runs-cars-it/#.XGCZei2ZNTY
-----
Most drivers fuel their vehicles with gasoline. Robert Tomey powers his
with French fry grease.
The owner of four McDonald's — in Amory, Aberdeen, Houston and Vernon,
Ala. — recently converted his Volkswagen Beetle and the company's Ford
pickup truck to run on used vegetable oil drained from his fryers.
It's a little messy to pour into the gas tanks and smells a bit like
popcorn when leaving the exhaust system, but the fry grease powers his
vehicles the same as regular diesel.
And perhaps even better: Tomey once spent more than $350 a week for
diesel — he now spends next to nothing.
"I couldn't believe it was that easy," Tomey said while pouring gooey
grease into the tank of his silver Beetle. "It's incredible. I want
everybody to do this."
-----
And he is not the only one.
Post by bigdogChrist, you are as dumb as she is.
See: you push ignorance and then attack others when you know you have no
point. It is amazing to see how often you do this.
Post by bigdogPost by SnitPost by bigdogPost by SnitRight wingers deny the problems they have no solutions for, and then lie
about the solutions offered. If you had better ideas you would offer them.
We don't need solutions to your imaginary problems.
See: you deny the problems EVIDENCE shows are real. You just have NO ideas.
You've shown evidence the world has been getting warmer. That began almost
12,000 years ago. You haven't shown evidence it is a problem.
See: you just deny the issue. It is not like you have not been shown
what the consensus is. But you have NO answer to how to handle it... you
are just lost. You are "as dumb as" the Republicans.
Remember, no scientific body of national or international standing
maintains a formal opinion dissenting from any of these conclusions:
• "Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, and since the 1950s,
many of the observed changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia".
• "Atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous
oxide have increased to levels unprecedented in at least the last
800,000 years".
• Human influence on the climate system is clear. It is extremely likely
(95-100% probability) that human influence was the dominant cause of
global warming between 1951-2010.
• "Increasing magnitudes of [global] warming increase the likelihood of
severe, pervasive, and irreversible impacts"
• "A first step towards adaptation to future climate change is reducing
vulnerability and exposure to present climate variability"
• "The overall risks of climate change impacts can be reduced by
limiting the rate and magnitude of climate change"
• Without new policies to mitigate climate change, projections suggest
an increase in global mean temperature in 2100 of 3.7 to 4.8 °C,
relative to pre-industrial levels (median values; the range is 2.5 to
7.8 °C including climate uncertainty).
• The current trajectory of global greenhouse gas emissions is not
consistent with limiting global warming to below 1.5 or 2 °C, relative
to pre-industrial levels. Pledges made as part of the Cancún Agreements
are broadly consistent with cost-effective scenarios that give a
"likely" chance (66-100% probability) of limiting global warming (in
2100) to below 3 °C, relative to pre-industrial levels.
Post by bigdogPost by SnitIt is what right wingers do. If you have no ideas on solutions why even
pretend to be a part of the conversation? Step aside and let those who
accept evidence do their jobs.
Why should we step aside and let assholes like AOC fuck up our economy?
See: more of your lashing out. You have NO clue what to do so you get
angry at yourself and then show misplaced aggression.
But if you REALLY thought she was wrong you would offer a better
solution (even if you did not work out the details).
You have NO solution. You are "as dumb as" the Republicans.
Post by bigdogPost by SnitThey have given up on even trying to come up with solutions to actual
problems.
Republicans only continue to exist as a
viable party based on a national level based on a Great Compromise
designed to help slave states and one that is akin to affirmative action
for those who live in less populated states.
History lesson, Skippy.
See how you feel the need to call people names, Little Pup?
It is a sure sign of your insecurity
Post by bigdogThe Great Compromise was made almost 70 years before the
GOP was formed.
The sad thing is you are proud to know this... like a child sharing that
they just learned to tie their shoes. It is not like anyone said otherwise.
Post by bigdogIt was a compromise between big states and small states, not slave states and free states. It created two houses of Congress, one in which a state's delegation would be proportionate to its population and the other in which each state was equally represented. That left the question of whether slaves should be counted for purposes of determining representation. Slave states wanted them counted while free states didn't want them counted at all. They compromised by counting them as 3/5.
That is a different compromise, but for much the same reason. Sure. And
they are tied together.
Hey, back then conservatives wanted to count non-citizens in their
population count for voting power. LOL! Good point to note how much
conservatives have changed their tune.
Post by bigdogPost by SnitPost by bigdogPost by SnitTo be fair, you do speak of how what she asks for cannot be done in 10
years. Well, we got to the moon pretty darn quick
That was doable. We also had a shitload of emissions getting there. I guess if
AOC has her way, we'll have to shut down NASA. Hard to get into space without
burning lots of fuel.
See: you directly lie about her views. If you had ideas of your own you
would not feel the need to do this. But you do. Over and over and over
you do. And then you want your lies -- and the lies of the Republicans
-- to be treated as equal to evidence.
She gave her views to NPR. She wants to eliminate fossil fuels altogether. You
can pretend that isn't true, but that won't change the fact.
By all means quote what she has said about NASA.
But you will not. You have no idea. This is another example of you lying
because you have no better ideas than what she offers.
Oh, and rocket fuel is NOT generally made from fossil fuels...
Post by bigdogPost by SnitPost by bigdogPost by Snit-- but in today's
political climate with Republicans being lazy and afraid to offend the
wealthy and their demonizing of the poor what she wants will not happen.
What it CAN do, and hopefully will, is get the conversation going.
It's hard to have a conversation when we are laughing so hard.
And as you show here you refuse to take personal responsibility. Blame
others for your failure to have ANY ideas.
I refuse to take responsibility for your imagined crisis.
See: you deny the issue because you have NO clue how to handle it.
AOC does have ideas. They are not perfect but it is so far ahead of the
right wing running in fear and denial. FACE life! FACE issues! Take
responsibility!
Remember when right wingers used to say they backed being responsible
and having family values.
Post by bigdogPost by SnitYou have none. You just deny the problems because you cannot find any
better solutions.
Post by bigdogPost by SnitBreak Republicans out of their failure to find ANY solution which leads
to their denials of well accepted science. Make them HAVE to face what
they fear.
I'll let Republicans talk about what they fear.
As will I... and I have no problem noting it.
You have no problem lying.......about everything.
See: you lash out with attacks you cannot back. Once again you have NO
clue what to do about the problem. Amazing to watch you crumble when
asked how you think we should deal with it.
It is sad the Republicans do so -- they have power.... but you, well, it
is simply amusing.
Your trolling is my favorite to respond to. Thanks for the laughs.

Personal attacks from those who troll show their own insecurity. They
cannot use reason to show the message to be wrong so they try to feel
somehow superior by attacking the messenger.
They cling to their attacks and ignore the message time and time again.
