C'mon, Siri, you're not that stupid, right? The Germans overran Poland
almost immediately, then later France. And it wasn't until Hitler
considered Britain almost finished that he invaded Russia.
France and UK declared war on Germany after it invaded Poland. UK then
interfered in iron ore trade out of Narvik. That's when Germany invaded Denmark
(to control the Baltic Sea?) and Norway to secure its iron ore. After that it
had declared enemies in the west and temporary nonaggression in the east, so
Germany decided to defeat its declared enemies. Did so with France and
fantasized it did with UK. In 1939 Germany was undefended from France and UK.
Had France and UK remained neutral, Hitler could've invaded USSR in 1940 and
lose at Stalingrad a year earlier.
With Germany losing against the USSR maybe Japan would've thought better of
attacking the US and UK.
And anybody who's ever invaded Russia has lost. Ditto for Afghanistan.
That's why the US is in Afghanistan now and preparing for war with Russia.
(It's only logical, after all.)
Afghanistan is where armies go to die.
