The Eponymous Album will be re-issued with Bonus Tracks!

(No projected date yet, but at least it's in the works...)

Don't know if it's been discussed over at the site, but I just read that
a re-issue of HINDU LOVE GODS, on the "Rhino Encore" label comes out on
August 26. No mention of bonus tracks, however. I used to pick the
cut-outs up whenever I'd see 'em in the bargain bins and discount stores
(might still have some) but good to see it's back out. Note, however,
that these "Rhino Encore" releases are supposedly "limited" and
available for only a short time.

The other thing about the Rhino Encore is the record store owner has to
BUY them up front. If they don't sell, he's stuck with 'em. Normally,
he can send back the ones that don't sell - like a consignment - but
these, he's gotta buy. So if you don't see it in your indie record
store, ask them to order it for you.

My indie guy's name is Warren. LOL.

I would much prefer the option to download in FLAC, then media costs are
not an issue, but the record world is stuck back about 20 years.

Not me. I like packaging - liner notes, credits, pictures - that sort
of thing. I also like sequencing.

If it turns out there is anything different in this new release from
the original, I'll buy it.

Lucy, that's interesting about the store owners having to buy the
Rhino Encore releases. I guess Rhino isn't about to take any risk on a
release that's perceived as anything less than a hot top seller. I
suppose we should be grateful that the album is being reissued at all,
but sheesh, it's too bad they're making it so hard for the few
remaining small record stores.

You could download the all that with the FLAC file, infact, FLAC can be
wrapped in multimedia file that contains everything so that when you
play it, the art and liner notes etc could display on your HD display.
Save paper and plastic!
