Post by Bob Duncan"There is no sin in the 'without spot or blemish' Church of Jesus Christ"
That will happen. Not in this life, but after the sanctification process
is completed.
You, a mere man, is declaring what is possible and what is not?? That is
very courageous, as they used to say in, 'Yes Minister!' :-).
The sanctification process is complete in a son of God. He a new creature.
Crucified of his old nature.
2Co_5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Gal_6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing,
nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
The bible verses mean what they say.
A son is a son is a son is a son and just maturing into the fullness of
Christ is happening.
This is no small thing, of course, but...
Php 3:10 ***That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and
the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;***
Php 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already
perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also
I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
That is not talking about dying to the old nature. That is already dead
in a son of God (the chosen), but not in the called, they are still
working out their salvation. Rather, finding it.
Thus...
Php 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and
if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto
you.
The above Philippians [3:10-12] is talking about something rarely
perceived, if ever, in your circles, the fellowship of his sufferings.
You can't come to full measure of Christ without knowing
*******His******** sufferings.
And it is painful experience, but if you love Him with all your heart,
soul and mind, His grace is sufficient. Did you know that even when an
animal suffers He...feels...it?? Grieves. Just imagine the grief there
is in knowing how the whole of creation groans under the weight of sin
and the enormity of the suffering of man.
Joh_11:35 Jesus wept. Seeing the suffering.
Rom_8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in
pain together until now.
Pain, but there is a narrow path through it by the great grace of God.
However, you can't know His suffering without suffering it.
Recently I have had to endure certain very painful 'heart' things and
the Lord gave me this, "Keep going forward. Forget about the past. Lift
up your head, look ahead."
More to come though, I would expect.
Post by Bob DuncanWhat does Ephesians 5:27 mean?
"Focusing on Christ's relationship to the church, Paul notes that
Christ's goal as the church's husband is to "present the church to
himself in splendor." Christ desires the church to stand before Him in
brilliance and triumph. His desire is for believers to one day appear
before Him without any flaws or marks or imperfections. Particularly on
the wedding day, a bride seeks to look her absolute best for her
husband, and Christ wants the church to look its best for Him when that
day comes.
A son of God is already wed.
Heaven is a marriage celebration.
There will be no marrying and giving in marriage in heaven.
2Co_6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the
day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted
time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
It is all or nothing, here and now. When it is 'all' in you, you will
know there is no sin in the Church of Jesus Christ because there will be
no sin in you. With Him all things are possible, but with you and your
will, your religious sinful will, nothing is possible.
Post by Bob DuncanThe purpose for Christ's relationship with the church is to bring on
greater holiness.
No, there is no compromise. There is no 'greater holiness'.
Holiness is holiness, and nothing less.
He calls people to holiness with Him, and nothing less.
And if they surrender their life to Him, He can bring that into being in
a person. You just have to leave everything behind (including your
thoughts) and follow Him in your daily life to the crucifixion of your
old nature.
The real reason the rich young ruler did not follow the Lord was not
because of the riches of the things of this world, but something deeper,
the riches found in doing his own will.
There is no greater possession a man has than his own will!
Jesus says to any and all, 'Follow Me', and leave your possession of
yourself behind. Nothing has changed.
Few there are prepared to do that; many are called, few are chosen.
Post by Bob DuncanThe reference to blemishes is not about physical
appearance, but about the church being pure before the Lord. To be holy
is to be set apart. To be "without blemish" is to be without a mark or
problem. This is the same standard the Old Testament required of animals
used in sacrificial offerings. They could not have any "blemish." God
desires we come before Him with a clean heart (Psalm 24:4). "

You have to identify the difference (revelation from God) between the
called and the chosen, as does that Robert None fellow.
They are not the same.
Many are called, few are chosen...few choose to deliver to the Lord what
He is worthy of...EVERYTHING.
To be holy and set apart, blemish-less, you have to be holy and set apart.
Post by Bob DuncanYou sin, practically every day, here in this newsgroup, in front of the
world.
No, you judge in your sinful state me to be that.
But you have a beam in your eye, the sin in you, but you disregard that
reality as a mere trifle. No, it blinds you to the truth.
"There is no sin in the Church of Jesus Christ!" Wouldn't that be
obvious???!!! There is no sin in Christ Jesus! And a sinner CANNOT
judge that justly.
Post by Bob DuncanYou distort the gospel of Jesus Christ in just about every one of your
posts.
Beam.
Post by Bob DuncanYou will be judged by Jesus Christ, and you will have no one to blame
but yourself.
I have been judged by God. So you can forget about/relax your lordship
in judging me! :-).
Post by Bob Duncan"There are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of
Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a
gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed."
[Galatians 1:7,8]
You distort the gospel with the beam in your eye and bend it into a man
who can be a sinner and be in Christ Jesus. Not possible, God is not a
sinner, neither does sin abide in Him.
'God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.'
All or nothing, and no compromise will ever be entered into. God is
holy, and the only way to stand in the presence of God is to be made
holy. Now is the accepted time, there is no transformation when you
die...other than a new external incorruptible body.
With God all things are possible, but you want to hold on to your sinful
state, so you build it logically into your mind into your sinner
religious theology.
"There is no sin in the Church of Jesus Christ!" Neither can there be.
