I would love to have a CD with all the best music tracks and songs from
the Marx Brothers' films. If one exists, I would buy it!

There is a 3 cd set that came out in France in 1994 titled the "Marx Brothers
Sing and Play". It has all the music from their first 11 films (sadly it does
not include "A Night in Casablanca" & "Love Happy"). I purchased my copy back
in the late 1990s and it is currently out of print. A used copy on Amazon will
set you back around $100, while there is a new auction on ebay for this set with
bidding starting at $59.95. I believe I paid around $40 for it new when it was
in print.

Hope this helps

Gee, you'd think Hollywood would make it a priority to develop a
soundtrack like this...keep the classics alive. With all the
technology available it would be a terrific product. Are you
listening, Mr. Hollywood Producer Classic Film Soundtrack Guy?

It would have to include Monkey Doodle Do from Cocoanuts; that's
about the only good song.

My favorite is "Everyone Says I Love You" from "Horse Feathers."

My favorite is "Everyone Says I Love You" from "Horse Feathers."
Or maybe "A Cup of Coffee, a Sandwich and You" from "Aida".

Any "Best of" CD without Lydia the Tattooed Lady wouldn't be a "Best
of".

How about "Somewhere my love lies sleeping" with a male chorus?

There are loads of songs, and instrumental moments in their films. I
love the music from the Paramount era the most, but there is some nice
music from the later films as well.

"Monkey Doodle Doo"
"When My Dream Comes True"
"I Lost My Shirt"
"Everyone Says I Love You"
"Hooray For Captain Spaulding"
"Hello, I Must Be Going"
"Whatever it is, I'm Against It"
"I Always Get My Man"
"We're Going to War"
and all the instrumental pieces by Chico on the piano and Harpo on the
clarinet and harp, and the opening credit music, sound effects, lines of
dialogue, and that's just the Paramount films.

How about "Hymn To Freedonia (These Are The Rules of My
Administration)"?

Yeah, me too. Zeppo's straight forward presentation sets up the two
goofy and one very beautiful versions of the song.
