Why do the cats not get popsicles ?

Well, it depends on how realistic you want to be. These cats
talk, wear clothes, and use microphones. But assuming (for the
sake of argument) that they're still cats, they can't taste sugar
or anything else sweet. So they have no need of popsicles,
though they're able to appreciate the popsicles' calming effects
on the People.

It could be compared to St. Thomas Aquinas's answer to "How many
angels can dance on the point of a pin?" "None. Angels have
better things to do with their time. No angels can dance on the
point of a pin, because no angels would want to dance on the
point of a pin."

The answer I was told in Cat-lic school was:

Perfectly logical nonsense, and the value of AMAGWDOTHOAP

BTW, they don't have sticks, so they aren't Popsicles.
