Hello Patrick,
Thank you for posting to the SBS Newsgroup.
I understand you could not connect to the companyweb on the SBS server due
to the database is not accessible. If I have misunderstood your issue,
please let me know.
Patrick, please understand that we are sure whether the steps in KB829113

more efficiently to solve this issue, we could backup the current
companyweb database, reinstall the companyweb and restore the database
back. Please refer to the following KB 829114.

============
If you would like to take a close look of this issue, I would like to
collect following information for a further analysis.
1. Just to double confirm, what is the exact SP1 you have installed on the
SBS Server? SharePoint Service SP1 or the SBS 2K3 SP1?
2. Just to double confirm, can you access http://companyweb on the SBS
Server Console? If no, please capture a screen shot for the error message
and send it the Newsgroup.
3. On the SBS Server, run "services.msc" (without quotation marks), check
if the service MSSQL$SHAREPOINT running?
4. On the SBS Server, open a command window, type "osql -E -S
<sbsserver>\SHAREPOINT" (without quotation marks), what is the result?
5. Do you have SQL Server is installed on the SBS server?
6. On the server, run "eventvwr" (without quotation marks), check whether
there are any errors. If yes, double click it, click the Copy button and
paste the full content to the Newsgroup.
7. What is the version of Oledb32.dll file on your Server? you can right
click the file, select Properties, on the Version tab, click File Version
and you will see it.
Please take your time to perform the steps and gather the information for
research. I am looking forward to hearing from you!
Best regards,
Brandy Nee

Hey,
I just finished doing a restore using the MS KB article below.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829113/en-us
All seemed to go well, except now when trying to reach companyweb I
get..
Unable to connect to database. Check database connection information
and make sure the database server is running.
Could this be a SP issue on WSS? I think I was running SP2 on the old
server.. only SP1 on the new.. any ideas?
