I think Canada has also now been cancelled
Yes. Confirmed by Chase Carey.
A bit surprising that Canada has been cancelled. The track is on a
island so easily isolated. Mirabel airport to the north of Montreal
is not used for passenger traffic so easy to bring in gear through
there. Highways between the to so no risks involved there. Had to be
either financial or politics.
Might not make financial sense to travel all the way to North America
for a single race, especially if the sanctioning fee would have been
reduced due to no spectators. Also the available slots were getting a
bit late in the season for reliable Canadian weather. Canada *is* being
careful - the Toronto Blue Jays (only Canadian team in Major League
Baseball) were told they couldn't hold games in Toronto. They'll mostly
be using the minor league park in Buffalo where their AAA team usually
plays.
