In socialist Venezuela, the U.S. dollar becomes king

This week, for instance, the price of a dozen eggs topped 2.6 million
bolívares — equal to two weeks’ pay at the minimum wage. But for a
Venezuelan who can exchange dollars at the black market rate, those same
eggs are a relative bargain, costing only 60 cents.

[...]

This week at a ruling party convention, Maduro admitted that “the productive
models we have tried have failed and the responsibility is ours, it’s mine.”
Last week, he announced “new economic measures,” including eliminating five
zeros from the bolívar — a currency whose largest bill is now 100,000.

But experts predict that such remedies will have little effect and that
Venezuela’s hyperinflationary spiral will worsen.

[It certainly worked out great in Zimbabwe]

1 US Dollar = 172,485.00 Venezuelan Bolivars as of 8/2/2018

At least there's some comfort in knowing they're not as bad off as Zimbabwe:

That was just over two months ago ... inflation has been estimated at 100% a
month ... so a pile four times as big?

The knocked three zeros off on January 1, 2008, and they're schedule to take
five more on August 20.

Last November, Venezuela introduced a 100,000 bolivares note, that was worth
about $2.42 US ... as of June it was down 98%.

Of course, once you've entered the magical realm of hyper-inflation, it's
tough to nail down the value of anything without using a stable outside
currency.

CIA’s policy seems to be working.

When can the US grab all their oil?

Will it be before or after they have bombed Iran to get theirs as well?

Bullshit!
Every time a country has oil they seem to fall on hard times. Nigeria,
Iraq, Libya and Iran are some examples. The plan is to destabilize these
governments so that the government can be replaced with one friendly to
the US and the oil companies.
Wakefield has an obsession with Venezuela claiming their problem is
Socialism while ignoring other very successful Socialist states. Somalia
is a Federal Republic just like the US, but is a failed state. Does that

Weasel words which actually means Thatcher wasted most of the oil revenue on
dole money for union workers which she had kicked out of a job in order to
prevent them upsetting her fascist regime (which seemed to involve getting up

It is still a dependency state. Dependent on slave labour minimum wage jobs
for US multinationals who pay little or no UK taxes.

Presumably, this was all part of the long term plan?

What I do know is that between them, Venezuela and Iran have 15 times as much
oil reserves as the USA; which is why the US wants it.

Oil revenue in the hands of non-33deg-masonic regimes means one thing - lots
of cash to develop nukes which can be used to threaten a certain state which
doesn’t like being compared to Nazi Germany.

Therefore they must be stopped by whatever means possible, a puppet pro-US
regime installed and free access given to US multinational ‘investment’
(basically bleeding the countries dry of resources and then leaving them to
start internal civil wars which can be blamed on leftie or muslim
infiltrators - take your pick).

Last November, Venezuela introduced a 100,000 bolivares note, that
was > worth about $2.42 US ... as of June it was down 98%.
CIA’s policy seems to be working.
No, Venezuela's government is solely responsible for this mess.
Of course it is. After all, the US would never interfere in another
country’s politics.

Bullshit!
Every time a country has oil they seem to fall on hard times. Nigeria,
Iraq, Libya and Iran are some examples. The plan is to destabilize these
governments so that the government can be replaced with one friendly to
the US and the oil companies.
Exactly.

Thanks for posting those videos, I hadn't heard about
the protests.

What shocks me is that the mainstream press isn't
covering it, and also that the videos you posted
are only getting a pathetic few dozen hits.

Let's see if that can be changed.

I'm going to post repeatedly the news of the protests
to several very busy twitter sites.

#cnn
#FoxNews
washington post
new york times
#twitter

And to also to a favorite of mine Sarah Silverman
as she's a big women's rights advocate, and
also very Jewish~

https://twitter.com/SarahKSilverman

If I can get her to retweet it, which I've
successfully done before with Syria, it'll
go out to her, eh hum...12.5 million...followers.

I'm going to post the following tweets below but
you have to post it repeatedly, dozens of times
to get results. If you want to join in, just
go to any twitter site like here

https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&vertical=news&q=%23twitter&src=typd

And press tweet, and cut and paste in one of the following.

1 US Dollar = 172,485.00 Venezuelan Bolivars as of 8/2/2018
What $80.00 looks like in Venezuela: https://tinyurl.com/yca88bek
http://www.marketoracle.co.uk/images/Zimbabwe_100_trillion_2009_Obverse.jpg
Very, very sad.

I spent 3 weeks in that wonderful country in the late 1980s.
Wonderful country, pleasant people, reasonable government.

Then, the voters kept going for the politician's promises
of more free stuff!

Robert A. Heinlein > Quotes > Quotable Quote
Robert A. Heinlein
“The America of my time line is a laboratory example of what can happen
to democracies, what has eventually happened to all perfect democracies
throughout all histories. A perfect democracy, a ‘warm body’ democracy
in which every adult may vote and all votes count equally, has no
internal feedback for self-correction. It depends solely on the wisdom
and self-restraint of citizens… which is opposed by the folly and lack
of self-restraint of other citizens. What is supposed to happen in a
democracy is that each sovereign citizen will always vote in the public
interest for the safety and welfare of all. But what does happen is that
he votes his own self-interest as he sees it… which for the majority
translates as ‘Bread and Circuses.’

‘Bread and Circuses’ is the cancer of democracy, the fatal disease for
which there is no cure. Democracy often works beautifully at first. But
once a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or
parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state. For when
the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses
without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot
stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its
weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader—the barbarians enter
Rome.”

My brother-in-law had a get together at his home and he had invited one
of his friends who was a Realtor. He told me he worked in Public
Relations for one of the oil companies in Venezuela back in the 1980s.
This was before the Chavez government.
His job at the time was to keep certain individuals and officials happy.
He said he lived in a Villa and hosted lots of parties. On one of the
last parties he hosted he bought a 1 kg bag of marijuana for the guests.
He knew that the oil companies had worn out their welcome because of the
poverty and desperation that he saw in the streets. He said he was not
surprised when Chavez won power.
