Yep you don't have the fucking balls to respond to me directly
about Trump's impending impeachment so you troll me. If the
truth be told, though, I don't know what I'd be like if felt like
I'd had my nuts cut off. Would we be best calling you eunuch
then?

As if lonely incels like Hutt weren't feeling ostracized and sorry enough
for themselves that women hate them, now an entire theater chain says "If
you can't get a date to this movie, you're not welcome."
Way to push them to the tipping point, AMC.
So I'm "banned" from seeing "Joker"?! (At least that evening...)

Weird.

Weird.

-

May depend on what you, personally, are looking forward, perhaps, to
seeing;- which is obviously allusions to the thematic
ANTI/UN/NOT-Overman: The logocentric superior man of a future, above
Christian morality, capable of his own values;- Nietzsche's (German)
Übermensch in _Thus Spake Zarathustra_.

The Press cabal, et. al., describes this unicum for one, 'en masse',
comprising a broader audience of viewers, their reception to such an
extremity, as one [in critique so] presumably lacking proportionate,
perhaps due deference to (Nietzsche's) antithetic dimension and
characterisation.

Which altogether cannot be really real -- in not so bad a thing.

Then there's the direct directorial mention, axiomatically a last
listed namesake on IMDB, for lack of a better place to impose his
influence in a present context (The Joker's): A director with a same
name for having worked on one of the earlier Batman Enterprise
Editions: i.e., engaging one Danny DeVito, profession: actor, to
portray a Most Notorious Villain, AKA: The Penguin.

Which I though rather unique to endeavor, antithetically if not
whimsically speaking.

Given both in context of a cabal, however, surreptitiously so to
engage the Theatrics of Cruelty, by deductive inference in placement
of licensed weapon armoury, lawfully concealed within a
civilian-appropriation event, I believe what interests be, at least
one step directly above, (sic) a studio investiture has to say after
announcing at $39/B or /M weekend take (I forget which nomen most
apropos), is that the Joke's, ultimately, on you.

Best to think to approach all of this for an early Halloween, within
like context a Black Friday is to the birth of a nation, or Christ's.
Don't you worry none, you should be perfectly safe;- The Greeks did it
quite frequently between staged aesthetic events, as it were, taking a
little rest and relaxation, what between plagues, starvation, war and
mayhem;- They seem to have had quite the temperament for "chewing on a
state" of things, being it was no less a "social crime" to violate
Social Amnesty, mostly abided, that staged drama is indeed sacrosanct
drama.

If you can't manage to find someone to go see a movie with you, I guess
so. Certainly there is some justified fear about whiny desperate solo
white dudes going to see a movie about a insane murderer.

Coming from you, that particular 'mocking laugh' is too constant to have
meaning. Meanwhile, lots of people, including me, didn't find AMC's

As if lonely incels ... weren't feeling ostracized and sorry enough
for themselves that women hate them, now an entire theater chain says "If
you can't get a date to this movie, you're not welcome."
Way to push them to the tipping point, AMC.
Wtf is in this movie that requires a multi-individual social unit?
Unbearable existential despair?  Can you bring a parent?
MY GOD!  DOES NOBODY HAVE GOOGLE?

Sure. But I'm usually not alerted by hoaxes having no obvious point.

Why in God's name would a place that's in the business of selling
tickets and munchies ban the largest segment of it's paying customers?

What's next? No children allowed in for animated movies?

For this movie? Sure. I don't see Joker being a great date night
movie, and it's R rating lets out most kids... and it certainly isn't a
chick-flick.

Well, lots of other sources are picking up on the story. Whether they're
getting it from The Sun or not, I have no clue. I don't know much about The
Sun anyway but most all the main stream media has become almost
indistinguishable from the supermarket tabloids of years ago.

Doesn't mean anything. Everything I've seen is crediting The Sun.
Not of the pother "news" outlets are reporting news, they are reporting

Well, they usually say so somewhere in the copy, so if and when it
turns out to be fiction, they can point a finger and say "It wasn't

The Sun is only slightly more reliable than the Daily Mail. They are
both garbage rags pretending to be news.

So when did you see it so you could make that criticism? I haven't
seen it and I won't, because I'm just not into cape movies, but I also
haven't stated my opinion of it.

BTW the so-called "senior enterprise editor of culture" over at
HuffPost asked her readers if she should bother seeing the film that
scored a record domestic gross last weekend and has been the subject of
endless chat and banter for several weeks now. HuffPost is amazing, in
the same way that a drunken bear walking into the same tree over and
over again and falling down is amazing.

From email:

Hi there!

Should I go see "Joker"? I was turned off by all the bad reviews, but
I've had a few friends tell me they enjoyed it. And it hit a record at
the box office. So you trusted readers can be the deciding votes. Tell
me if I should go in an email.

Funny or not, anyone with a working sense of humor would have recognized it
as unserious. Since you lack one, you did not.
My sense of humor is just great, thanks. However, there is nothing on
the sign to indicate it's not genuine, and there was some intelligent
effort -- the border, the logo -- to make it appear real. Fine, it's a
joke and a fake, but people will view it in the context of more than a
week of constant media attention regarding the supposed dangers of
going to see this film. They have no reason to question it. Neither
did I.

You're mistaken.  I (who have "a working sense of humor") saw your post
and tacitly assumed that, as odd as it was, you'd somewhat vetted it.  I
saw none of the usual flags, including that of the sign being funny.
Every child tries this gambit with a parent at one time or another.

It generally comes right before "Mom said it was OK with her, if it was
OK with you." and right after "Jimmy's mom said he could go..."

And FPP drops in to deliver his semi-annual reminder that he has absolutely
no sense of humor whatsoever.
It was a joke, you insipid moron.
Then it should have been funny, you dimwitted misanthrope.
Funny or not, anyone with a working sense of humor would have recognized it
as unserious. Since you lack one, you did not.
A) "Unserious" isn't a word, and if it is it shouldn't be.

B) This began as another one of your bullshit Libertarian rants and when
FPP caught you in a lie--AS USUAL--you decided to lie about it some more.

You really should leave the group. You're a scum sucking asshole who
would whore out his own mother to get ahead and then call it a "joke".
You're a sickening, disgusting liar.

As if lonely incels like Hutt weren't feeling ostracized and sorry enough
for themselves that women hate them, now an entire theater chain says "If
you can't get a date to this movie, you're not welcome."
Way to push them to the tipping point, AMC.

While a lot of people are critical of the heavy security--apparently
unnecessary--for this film, it must be remembered that IF something
did happen, the theatres and police depts would get roundly
criticized and probably sued big time. So, those exposed
entities were just trying to cover their ass. I can't blame them.

There have been riots and such at theatres in the past, so there

But why this movie? Of all the comic book villains saturating the screen
these days, why freak out over the Joker and not, say, Thanos?

And there was even a recent movie with Jared Leto as the Joker and no one

For whatever reason, there were security threats.
But there weren't. I've read the FBI and law enforcement bulletins and they
all start with, "There's no reporting of any actual threats to venues
showing this film, but..." then go on to describe the 'heightened
awareness' of law enforcement and theater management.

Why is their awareness heightened? On what is it based?

Well I haven't seen it and don't intend to but Joker is a supervillain
movie with no hero, right?
So was SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and every serial killer movie since. The
catalogue is replete with hero-less villain stories.
Nobody can do what Thanos does. But lots of
people can do what Joker does.
Just as lots of people can do what Hannibal Lecter does.

Or Jared Leto's Joker that no one was worked up over.

I suppose
every killer has a reason. It's specious and utterly illogical, but there's
a reason. Having a reason doesn't preclude one from being a monster.
Not all reasons are relatable.
Movies about such monsters reflect what we think of killers and our
attitudes toward killers. They're exaggerations and they change details
for entertainment reasons (at least that's their excuse), but movies
aren't trying to create killers under brand-new circumstances.

Nice tangent, Johnston.

I'm stating the obvious here. It doesn't matter if, after a bloody
masacre, a reason can be established. A monstrous crime was committed,
and yes, we can say that the killer is a monster.

You keep missing the point that movie murderers reflect society and
exaggerate society, but movies didn't invent monstrous killings.

We can. Will "we"? I've seen an uncomfortable number of idiots suggest
that Thanos was right and killing half the universe might save it. Some
of them might even have been serious but fortunately lack the power to
act on that sentiment. But Joker is closer to being grounded in the
real world where someone might regard him as a role model. That at
least is the fear that they had, that it might inspire a mass killing
from someone who sees himself in the character. It wasn't a personal
concern of mine, mind you, but then I don't worry about mass killings
anyway.

You keep missing the point that movie murderers reflect society and
exaggerate society, but movies didn't invent monstrous killings.
<yawn> It's not that I miss it. It just doesn't happen to be relevant
to the question asked which is why people were more worried about Joker
than Thanos...or even Hannibal Lector.

Movies about such monsters reflect what we think of killers and our
attitudes toward killers. They're exaggerations and they change details
for entertainment reasons (at least that's their excuse), but movies
aren't trying to create killers under brand-new circumstances.

Hannibal Lector had a reason anyway: Hunger.
No he didn't. Hunger isn't the reason why he didn't just get his food
from a store.
His local store didn't stock what, er, who he wanted for dinner.
Thus he had another reason .
That's what I said up above. Nice of you to notice, finally.
And you keep accusing me of "backpeddling". What was Lector's reason?

As if lonely incels like Hutt weren't feeling ostracized and
sorry enough for themselves that women hate them, now an entire
theater chain says "If you can't get a date to this movie, you're
not welcome."
There have been riots and such at theatres in the past, so there
are precedents.
But why this movie? Of all the comic book villains saturating
the screen these days, why freak out over the Joker and not,
say, Thanos?
Well I haven't seen it and don't intend to but Joker is a supervillain
movie with no hero, right?
So was SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and every serial killer movie since. The
catalogue is replete with hero-less villain stories.
Nobody can do what Thanos does. But lots of
people can do what Joker does.
Just as lots of people can do what Hannibal Lecter does.
Or Jared Leto's Joker that no one was worked up over.
The movie wasn't about Jared Leto's Joker though. It didn't try to give
him a motivation for being a murderous asshole. Same thing with
Hannibal Lector. He doesn't have a motivation. He's just a monster,
not a human being with reasons for what he does.
Real-life human beings who kill complete strangers or target people they
are well aware of are no threat to them and haven't done them harm are
real-life monsters, just like their fictionalized counterparts.
Way to miss the point. The Joker does kill complete strangers. But this
is a movie dovoted to the question of "Why does he kill complete
strangers". And the answer is apparently "He was a victimized nebbish."
Way to backpedal, Johnston. What you wrote is quoted above, if you'd
care to review it.
He's just a monster, not a human being with reasons for what he
does.
Human beings who kill can indeed just be monsters, Johnston.
Still striving your utmost to avoid the point being made.
Make a point and I'll address it.
You are proving that you will not. Instead you'll quibble about the
definition of "human".

Oh, look, Johnston. The controversy was minor. The studio took advantage
of it and helped to amp it up for free publicity for the movie, which
helped to increase its boxoffice.

Hideous. Sadistic. Vicious. Murderous. That is how Noam Chomsky describes Israel’s 29-day offensive in Gaza that killed nearly 1,900 people and left almost 10,000 people injured.
Movies about such monsters reflect what we think of killers and our
attitudes toward killers.
There's no business, like shoah business.
