You! Yes, YOU, RocketMan (***@hotmail.com)! Behind the
alt.usenet.kooks sheds! Stand still, laddie!
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryThat's because he's a trailer-dwelling, unemployed pedophile.
http://www.lart.com/rtsfaq
Three strikes. Join whoopass as a vet basher. You're pitiful and your
references to trailer dwelling pedofiles probably comes from
experience.
Ah, so you're a goddamned idiot who wants to defend BOLO Bullis' 86-day,
kicked-out-on-his-third-trip-through-basic, lying "vet" ass, then.
You and I appear to have markedly different definitions of "veteran" and
"combat" and "service to country." Where I come from, leeching 3 months
worth of paychecks from uncle sugar before getting booted doesn't really
qualify.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryLet me explain something to you, sunshine: This isn't 1958 anymore.
Being a vet doesn't automatically carry any weight, and it shouldn't,
You'd be typing in German or Japanese
No I wouldn't. I'd never have been born at all, as I am, given that
when WWII ended, my dad was still in the Netherlands, with the rest of
his family, and my mom is native american. I'd be typing in Dutch or
Cherokee.
Post by RocketMan, except for those who sacrificed
for this country, you inconsiderate, insignificant troll.
I sacrifice for this country every year on April 15th. More importantly
than that, perhaps, while gung-ho automatons like your dumb ass were
screaming NUKE AFGHANISTAN in the weeks after 9-11, I was one of the
VERY few people publicly proclaiming my belief in and allegiance to
concepts like freedom, equality, and the presumption of innocence. You
know what my compensation was for that? Being investigated by the FBI,
because I *dared* suggest that it wouldn't be very fucking american of
us to wipe out an entire country because of the actions of 19 people.
So you can save your pithy flag-waving bullshit for someone who believes
in those fairytales, sparky.
You dont have
Post by RocketManto thank a vet, just dont bash asswipe.
Who is asswipe, and where did I bash him?
Post by RocketManPost by John Henryand it hasn't in about 40 years, ever since Vietnam showed us just
how wrong- headed, cruel, and back-asswards the military - and their
personnel - *can* be.
Politicians declare war. Not the military. The military personnel you
accuse of being wrong-headed, cruel, and back-asswards (whatever the
fuck that means) are young men, 22 years old or younger, who were
drafted to fight in Vietnam.
Including the rocket scientist who burned the village to save it, right?
Shall we recount all of the stories of undisciplined grunts who took
advantage of the war situation to rape, murder, pillage, and egregiously
violate the Geneva convention, or will you grow a brain and concede that
a military commission does not automatically grant one integrity,
ethical character, or unfailing moral righteousness?
I don't claim that all, most, or even a large percentage of the men and
women who went to Vietnam participated in these activities - but it only
takes ONE to prove my point. Can you hear me now, or is your rectum
still plugging your ears?
Post by RocketManYour lineage fled to Canada,
No, fuckwad, "my lineage" had already done their service. Are you
going to flame ME for not going, next? Go ahead. I was all of 4 years
old when the Vietnam war ended. My dad served honorably in the USMC for
four years - including SIGSINT on one of the cuban missile blockade
ships. Did his basic at Pendleton and served there, LeJeune, and
several other stops along the way.
In short, you sawed-off, fake-vet, whining little cunt, the ONLY reason
"my lineage" wasn't IN Vietnam was because he was already enlisted and
had served his tour of duty. IOW, pure luck. Now, do you think you can
stay on task here and avoid the personal attacks - based on obvious and
utter ignorance of who I am, what I've done, where I've been, what I've
seen, and what my family may or may not have done - or shall I just work
off a little extra steam humiliating your sorry ass and be done with
you?
Your choice, fuckwit, but remember this: I'm being EXCEEDINGLY polite.
Post by RocketManfor fear of
their lives, and disdain for their country.
Given that it ISN'T "their country" - as I said before, I am first-gen
US born on my father's side - I'd say that the fact that he enlisted AT
ALL is something of a gift from him to his adopted country. He wasn't
even a US citizen until after he was HONORABLY discharged from the USMC.
My mother's side is Cherokee and Choctaw. Wanna talk about all the
honor and dignity the US military have visited on THAT side of the
family, idiot? Do the words "trail of tears" ring any bells? how about
"concentration camp" whoops, I'm sorry, "reservation?"
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryLee Harvey Oswald was a vet - does that mean he
was really a good person and shouldn't be insulted?
So, because Oswald was a vet, its open season on vets? Specious
argument. You loose points in debating 101 for attempting to apply
generalizations to the mass,
You mean like generalizing that "all vets deserve respect?"
Post by RocketManbut you wouldnt have knowledge of that, oh
ignorant one.
Pee Kay Fucking Bee, dolt.
Post by RocketManWhat about that
Post by John HenryMohammed guy, the DC sniper? He's a vet. Shall we go lightly on him
because he's ex- military?
More points lost by you
Interesting. This "point" thing is pretty important to you, isn't it?
Boor.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryDo you think the jury in his sentencing
hearing is going to go "boy, anyone else would get a lethal
injection, but since he's military, we'll give him 5 years suspended
and 60 months' probation?"
Same inane argument. Three attempts to justify your stupidness.
Way to ignore the point, fuckstain.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryDid you enlist - assuming that you actually did - because you thought
it would make you automatically respectable? I hate to disappoint
you, but life doesn't work that way.
WTF makes you think I enslited? Nixon changed the draft system and
instituted a draft lottery. I drew a low number due to my birthdate
and got drafted. I appealed and fought it but ultimately to no avail.
So let me get this straight - you didn't even WANT to serve, you had to
be forced into it under pain of imprisonment, and I'm supposed to pat
you on the back because you're so wonderful to have done so? Fuck you!
Post by RocketManMy
choices then were to escape the country with your relatives, or go to
Vietnam. The war was escalating at the time, and no one was
volunteering
to go.
My uncle volunteered. Came back in one piece with a chestful of medals,
too.
Post by RocketManDaily death tolls were rising like a high tech stock in the 90s.
Anyone who enslited doesnt become automatically respected. They would
have had to have an automatic death wish.
Or maybe they just believed it was their duty, asshole. Unlike your
chickenshit hippy ass who had to be threatened with being anally
violated by Bubba before you'd go.
Post by RocketManThe army infantry was almost
entirely made up of draftees, mostly black, mostly inner city.
I don't find any supporting evidence for your assertion that "the army
infantry was...mostly black, inner city" people. Please provide a cite
that supports this assertion.
Post by RocketManMore points lost. your statement is not based on fact,
Which statement? The last thing you responded to was a question, not a
statement. I didn't figure a chickenshit little dweeb who fought and
scratched and kicked and whined to be kept out of the draft would have
the utter lack of character to demand fealty for having served.
Post by RocketManand in debating
to win, making up statements to make a point, actually loses points
I'll notify the scorekeeper.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryAnd why were you in a theater, anyway? Shouldn't you have been
defending your country instead of watching movies?
Its military lingo for combat area, short for theater of operations.
No, you don't say!
Post by RocketManYou're attempted joke isnt funny, and your real ignorance shines
through. I dont need to assume anything or make any things up to show
you to be ignorant, and unpatriotic. I only need to read your post.
You get your sense of humor shot off over there too, private?
Post by RocketManPost by John Henry<insert overreaction to bad pun here>
I'll insert it where I want to.
Which just happens to be where I told you to.
Post by RocketManHow about up your ass?
No thanks, I don't swing that way. alt.singles.motss is ---->thataway.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryI have lots of good friends and family who were or are military
personnel.
In Canada, eh?
What was that you were saying about making shit up?
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryI respect these people because they are good people, not
because they wear cammies and a chevron or two.
Chevrons are for Non Comms. The grunts. Having friends with stripes,
eagles, leafs, etc would indicate Commisioned Officers, those who
lead. The grunts are the backbone of the military, and you should be
honored to be in the presence of those who wear a chevron or two.
If they're not assholes, I am.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryAnd I respect, in a
basic sense, the military, as the action arm of the US government
which does - ostensibly at least - protect our freedoms, which I hold
very dear.
Contradicts your earlier rantings in this thread
Only in your fragile and deluded little mind, private.
Post by RocketManPoints lost for arguing both sides.
You and your points. Here's a radical notion for you, sunshine - maybe
there's more than two possible opinions here.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryThis does NOT, however, mean that "anyone who served is automatically
owed fealty." My dad was USMC from 61-65. Think I haven't told him
to bite me on occasion?
Post proof. DD-214. Isnt that what you need to verify the veracity of
anyone claiming vet status? Your words, not mine.
Ah, but you see, I'm not claiming *I* am the vet, nor that I - or my
father - is due any more respect than the next guy for being one. See
the difference? No, you probably don't.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenrySeveral good friends have served in various
branches and capacities. One of my best friends is currently in ACT
school at Fort Sill. I have one, possibly two now, cousins currently
serving in Iraq. I have another cousin currently servin in
Afghanistan. Other friends and relatives are or have been scattered
all over the globe - the Korean DMZ, bases in Europe and Asia, and
bases all over the US; Grenada, Gulf War I, Vietnam, Korea, and even
WWII vets make up parts of my social circle.
Liar. Post the proof. You're now refuting your own statement above.
Let me paste it here for you
Post by John HenryBeing a vet doesn't automatically carry any weight, and it shouldn't,
And it doesn't. That doesn't change the fact that there are people I
love and respect in the military. You are one confused little reject,
ya know that?
Post by RocketManArguing both sides again. More lost points.
Post by John HenryAnd you know what? Not ONE of them expects to have their ass kissed
because they served. Indeed, my uncle who was in Vietnam will tell
you that when he came home, he changed into civvies prior to being
seen in public because he didn't want to be spit on and harassed.
Not saying that's right either, but it's reality.
I protested the war. Long hair and all. Got drafted. Fought it.
Eventually entered the Army and almost immediately shipped to Nam. Got
disabled in combat. Tossed from a combat vehicle when the driver
flipped in attempting to evade fire, and pinned under by the legs.
So you were INURED IN A CAR ACCIDENT?
Jesus, you make me sick. How DARE you attempt to usurp the glory and
honor rightfully due to those who gave their health and lives in combat!
You pig.
Post by RocketManCame back and was treated like shit by the same anti-war protestors
that I was once a part of.
Karma's a bitch, ain't it?
Post by RocketManI know the reality.
You - obviously - wouldn't know reality if it broke your fucking back.
Post by RocketManI've been there. But
changing into civvies doesnt hide the buzz cut,
The same one that pretty much EVERYBODY that wasn't a hippie was wearing
at the time?
Post by RocketManand thats all the
protestors needed to see. The public in general didnt bash returning
vets.
Please point out where I claim they did.
Post by RocketManNice try, attempting to claim one of your relatives was in Nam. Post
proof. Isnt that what you require?
I don't require proof; I've seen it. If you don't believe it, it makes
not a bit of difference to me in the least. The issue here is YOUR
alleged military service, not my family's.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryAnd if any one of them were an asshole, the fact that they're a
military asshole means nothing more than that I'd be a little more
careful and sneaky about punching them in the mouth for being an
asshole, what with all that hand-to-handd combat training.
Dont ignore the marksmanship medals.
Marksmanship is meaningless in close unarmed combat.
Post by RocketManthey can shoot straight too. And,
soldiers are trained not to loose.
They still do, just like the rest of us. And they also win sometimes,
just like the rest of us. You have a real serious problem with the
notion that being a vet excludes you from the possibility of being a
stupid dick, don't you?
There are people ON THIS NEWSGROUP that I know to be vets. Most of them
are decent, honorable, intelligent people. Then there's the fake-ass
Bolos like you and Richard teh St00pid, who are neither decent, nor
honorable, nor intelligent.
Post by RocketManYou sucker punch one, you better
kill him. Otherwise, you'll be looking over your shoulder, forever in
fear, because they will eliminate you.
No I won't.
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryIt has been my experience - and, I'll wager, the experience of most
here - that assholes who run around whining about how you can't be
mean to them because they're vets are generally either not vets at
all, or are boot-camp washouts, rejects, baby blue marines, and
dishonorably discharged losers desperately trying to convince even
one person anywhere that they deserve respect.
I dont want your respect. I just dont want people to bash vets just
because they are vets.
I don't see anybody doing that. I see somene bashing YOU because you are
an unrepentant asshole who thinks everyone should kiss your ass because
you couldn't convince anyone to loan you the $30 for bus fare to toronto
before you got your ponytail shaved. I also see a guy doing his absolute
best to NOT take a clue when it's handed to you.
Post by RocketManOne kid sent me classified
Bullshit.
Hey, Tehawk, remember me talking a few years back about Randy Berkland
sending me that photo from Cherry Point? Hell, you can probably find a
google ref to it if you want to, check rec.sport.pro-wrestling. Here,
let me help you:
http://groups.google.com/groups?as_q=randy%20berkland%
20vet&safe=images&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&as_ugroup=rec.sport.pro-
wrestling&lr=lang_en&num=30&hl=en
Hell, I may still have the e-mail archived someplace, but it was like
five years ago, so I'm not making any promises.
Funny, I googled YOUR posting handle while I was there, and I can't find
a single mention of any military service prior to this month. Isn't that
funny? Oddly enough, I *can* find references to Randy "Al Bundy"
Berkland and the various ways he attempted to use his dad's military
history as his own.
Post by RocketManof Cherry Point proving grounds and a doctored copy of his
Post by John Henrydad's discharge papers to "prove" he was a vet. He wasn't. He was,
however, an asshole. Same thing with the clown over in the rasslin
froup that claimed to have re- enlisted in the Navy after 9-11...he
made the claim, but the Navy had no record of it. Huh.
Keep it in mind. If you expect to have your ass kissed because you
were in the military, you're going to be sadly disappointed. If you
expect to even *mention* military service, you're going to be
expected to prove it, and when you prove it, it still won't protect
you from the natural consequences of being an asshole.
Points lost. You claim Im an asshole, and havent posted one thing I
said that you think shows that im an asshole.
You think the world owes you respect because you were too poor,
friendless, or lacking in resources to do what you really wanted to do -
ironically enough, the same thing you're now claiming people in my family
did, which was run to Canada. You think you're the first loser with a
chip on his shoulder to claim military service?
Post by RocketManThe only thing youve
talked about is vets, not me personally.
Well, I was hoping to work a clue into that thick skull of yours, but
that is obviously a waste of time.
Post by RocketManThat's life. Do what
Post by John Henryyou want to with it, but enough with the fucking whining and
self-pity already.
You are one sad mother. Your family tree is a straight line. You and
your uncle are butt buddies. Does mom complain that your brother fucks
her better than you?
No, I'm a much better fuck than he is. Is all you've got a bunch of
meaningless insults and ad hominem attacks? Are you going to confront
the notion that nobody owes you a fucking thing, including respect,
regardless of your military history - which you still haven't proven, nor
have you proven your handicap?
Post by RocketManPost by John HenryI'm not a vet myself,
so dont pretend you know what its like.
Why wouldn't I? I don't claim to have *experienced* it, but god knows
I've heard, seen, and read enough stories to safely assume that they
don't teach you to be a whining, snivelling, glory-stealing, fake-ass vet
wannabe in boot camp. Are you contending that this IS what you were
taught?
Post by RocketManbut I know you didn't learn THAT shit
More points lost.
You just said "I'm not a vet myself" Now, you claim to know what I
learned in the military. How could you possibly know?
Well, hearing about it all my life from my dad is a start. Being raised
by him is a pretty good series of clues, since much of what he learned
there later made it's way into his child-rearing philosophy. Of course,
the two-hour phone conversation I had the day before yesterday with my
buddy at Sill, telling me all about the "steers n' queers" DI's and much
more, good and bad, might also have given me some indication of what life
might be like, and what one might learn, when enlisted in the military.
A lifetime of knowing vets, talking to vets, hearing war stories, hearing
boot camp stories, talking with my dad about his experiences, talking to
my uncle about his (to the extent that he'll talk), talking to my buddy
Curt who was in Desert Storm, talking to my buddy Adam who was both in
Desert Storm and the Korean DMZ, along with a whole bunch of other shit
that I don't really find you worth the time or effort to recount, might
have given me some inkling of what life is like in the service. That
might even be why *I* never enlisted - well that and the fact that there
has't been a military conflict that we were involved in during my
lifetime that I really believed in.
Post by RocketManI'll give you a
little hint of what I did learn in the Army, so you can quote me in
your following rantings
1) KILL KILL KILL - thats what you scream when learning how to bayonet
thrust
So you were cannon fodder. Or you watched "Platoon." Big fucking deal.
Every army needs warm bodies, and you claim to have been one. While the
real soldiers were fighting and dying, and the real soldiers were
planning and attacking, and the real soldiers were finding themselves in
the unenviable position of having to fight an unwinnable war, you were
having auto accidents and feeling sorry for yourself.
Tell me again why you deserve any more respect than any other ranting,
raving asshole who posts a bunch of lies, self-pity, and sanctimonious
bullshit to this newsgroup? That WAS the original point, in case you've
forgotten. Furthermore, my original response to you was polite, pointed,
and didn't involve a single personal attack. Yet you seem to think that
you "win points" by ignoring logic and fact and calling me names.
Vet or otherwise, you are unquestionably an asshole. If you arelly ARE a
vet, you're an asshole *and* and embarassment to your country, and a
dishonor to your service, and a stain on your platoon.
