"It's all over the news -- the supposed deadliness of vaping.

"But what these mainstream media stories don't mention is that 'the vapes causing breathing problems are black market devices tainted with impure, illicit substances,' as Ross Marchand writes at FEE..."

Despite the fact everybody told me using non-nicotine vapes was perfectly safe and harmless, I was never convinced that breathing in lungful after lungful of unknown chemicals would have a positive long-term effect on a person's pulmonary system because nobody knows what the users lungs will look like after 20, 25, or 30 years of daily use. The people who are currently using vapes are the first generation guinea pigs for whatever the consequences of vape use are, and we're just starting to find out how bad these things really are, and I don't think it's just the black market vapes but vapes in general.

The statement about "mainstream media" stories not mentioning anything
about "illicit substances" is a flat-out lie. Literally every story
I've seen about this mentions homemade THC, etc., as potential causes
of the problem. What Marchand wants is a statement that *only* those
substances are responsible, and he's never going to get that.
