Oh, like the US 555. I could have sworn I remembered being somewhere
that was - ah, hang on, it might have been 0632.

I _thought_ it couldn't be real, as it was read out clearly, and then
again (though more quietly) later, and they wouldn't do that to a real
person (though I do remember That's Life finding Mr. Wongnumba ...)

You never know what someone will find helpful. Flop's post sent me off to
build searches for all those fictional roads on Geograph - road numbers
often being mis-typed and rarely checked. I went on to build generalised
searches for road numbers with too many numbers and found and corrected
loads. This just leaves all the other errors in road numbers which I don't
think I can catch automagically :(

To make a good loud sound with a clapping motion, you really need to
trap air between your palms as they come together; this is why children
can't really clap loudly (partly because they don't realise and think
it's just the slapping together of their hands that makes the noise, and
partly because they can't trap the air because of their shape and/or
size). Anyway, at one point - about my early teens, I think - I proudly
told my parents something like "I've improved my clap"; needless to say,
my mother at least (who had that sort of mind at the best of times!)
initially misunderstood!
