I don't do Christmas presents, but this is like a present.

https://www.rareseeds.com/store/vegetables/purple/thorburn-s-terra-cotta-tomato
https://www.rareseeds.com/store/vegetables/red/peron-tomato
https://www.rareseeds.com/store/vegetables/red/costoluto-genovese-tomato
All three, plus a free packet (their choice), and free shipping.

Still pricey, but those varieties look very nice.

It's not as pricey, if you consider that with those heirlooms, you can
save seeds from the tomatoes, and grow new ones year after year. I knew
a family who had seeds saved each year from tomatoes; the seeds were
originally bought or saved from well over 50 years ago.

if you enjoy gardening talk it's better to cut over to

I've found that the folks on rec.gardens.edible aren't

You STILL won't tell me WHY you hate me.
If I go to a Ford dealership and offer $3K for a brand -new F150 and they tell me “Sorry, that cost $60K” and I
say I’m only willing to pay $3k - am I facing an F-150 shortage?

There’s plenty of labor, the market just demands a better price for it. Companies willing to pay and treat their
workers well (no haphazard scheduling; no tyrant jerk managers; no ridiculous rules) will have no shortage of workers.

And why should taxpayers subsidize business paying poverty wages? Why should farmers and meat processors be
able to claim they have to use illegal immigrants because “no one wants to work blah blah blah”??

I almost never get "drunk," and I was asleep by 8:00 last night. I

Most all you'll need to know is printed on seed packets. We cover our
entire garden with weed block cloth once fall is here, saves tons of
work come spring... we just till, rake, and plant, there are no weeds
to deal with. We buy the heavy duty weed block cloth, it's well worth
the extra money, and lasts many years, just roll it up and put it in a
shed.

I've only added a packet of tomato seeds that can be grown in a pot on
my deck. It's a lot of work that my back doesn't like to do in the
big garden. I will kick a few seeds for Mammoth Sunflower into the
big garden and maybe stick a couple of plants for that acorn squash
that is all varigated. I like that one as it is really sweet.
I'll start seeds in the house for parsley very soon for pots on the
deck. Maybe a couple of sweet peppers to be grown in a pot. I can
sit and tend to my deck plants.
