Discussion:
Does anyone have the OpenVMS Alpha Disk File Optimizer (DFG031) kit handy?

I am on vacation at a location with no access to ODS-format optical media, and I need to do a remote install of DFG031 in a rush. I don't have any way to get the kit off of the media until I get back to my house and put the physical CD-ROM into my DS10.

So I'm wondering if anyone has the Alpha DFG031 kit handy and can make it available to me in some manner. DFG030 would probably also work, assuming there are no show-stopper bugs that were fixed in 3.1. I know 3.3 is a VSI VMS only product and I think 3.2 was as well - I need one that will run with a HP PAK.

Thanks!

Can you narrow down which software CDs it might be on? I have a number of the distribution kits on CD, but don't have the indexes handy. Give me a ballpark year and quarter and I should be able to send along an ISO.

I'm not sure when HP(E) added support for 2TB disks to DFG. That *might* have
been V3.0, but it could have been V3.1.

VSI's V3.2 came out in 2015 (June, I think), and I'd guess that V3.0/V3.1 came
out some time after 2009, but that's a guess.

HP released VMS V8.4 in late 2010; VMS releases sometimes spurred new
LP versions.

DFG031 is on the AXP library CDs from Sep-2012 through Dec-2016. DFG030 is on CDs from Sep-2007 to Jun-2012.
