Too bad for any folks just getting into Warren's music. I suppose there
are still some lurkers?

Yup, been lurking here since about 1992, iirc. It is quiet at the moment.

Was in Spain on holiday last month - made a pilgrimage to find the
Dubliner in Sitges - Warren used to be the "house" pianist there. It was
after my brother-in-law saw him playing there in 1976 that I first
listened to the eponymous album - the rest is, as they say, history....

The Dubliner has changed its name to the Highlander, but still looks to
do live music. Closed when I got there though, ho hum.

Done Lee Ho Fook's, Dubliner, Louvre museum, Trader Vic's to name a few.
Still got to do the Hollywood Hawaiian Hotel, if it's still there.

Any other essential Zevon spots we should all visit?

Cheers

Iain

I'm here, but haven't got much to say other than "boy, it sucks our man's
been gone for almost five years now."

FWIW, I'm doing the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in DC in a month. Breast
cancer ain't mesothelioma, but if anyone wants to donate toward cancer
research my donation page (courtesy of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, who's
running the walk) is here: http://08.the3day.org/goto/jayfurr

I'm still around..every now and then.
It used to be more interesting when Howard was still around.
I wonder where he went....I kinda miss him.

But breast cancer is what took Tule...Jordan lost both parents within 6
months.

Good for you, Jay.

Ah, very good point, and I should have remembered that.

I still lurk. Been reading here since 1996, at a guess. And I do try
to contribute if someone starts a thread.

I saw David Lindley perform the other night. He did "Seminole Bingo."
He didn't the other two Zevon songs I have seen him perform, however,
which were "Monkey Wash Donkey Rinse" and the incomparable
"Indifference of Heaven."

Lindley has an album out with all three Zevon tunes on it, which I
bought at the show. Haven't listened yet, but when I do I will report
my impressions.
