Many times you read rants about businesses in this newsgroup. I thought it
was time to post a compliment!

I just recently joined Goodlife Fitness and I have to say that I was really
surprised about the way this club is run. The employees there are always so
friendly and really seem to enjoy their jobs. You always get a "hello"
and/or a "hows the workout going so far?" comment. It's nice to feel that
they remember you and want to encourage you.

If you don't know how to use a machine, they welcome you to come and ask so
they can show you the right way to use it. I was a little self conscious
about joining a gym, but this place changed that from the beginning. I
mean, there are many of us who feel out of place in a gym and they put me at
ease right away.

A big thumbs up to Goodlife from me!

How could they do that really, unless they are the ones weighing you all the
time? Personally, I would rather just weigh myself than have someone do it
for me all the time, seems like it would be a bit of a PITA to have someone
else do it for you. Maybe the scales there just weigh differently than your
scales at home. Also, don't forget that if you weigh after working out than
you will most likely weigh less, that's one way to tell if you've drank
enough water during your workout, you should weigh the same before and
after. People's weight can fluctuate a fair bit during the day, or from day
to day as well, depending on different factors.

Are they the ones who do the weighing? I really don't know, so I'm asking.
If so, then maybe you're right and that's how they control it. At the Y,
there's just a scale in the change room for members to use whenever they
want.

From my experience at the good-life fitness in the villiage mall, with the
scales in the change room, you will be told as I was that you can't go by
them for an accurate weight as they get knocked out of balance quiet
abit. With so many people getting on and off of them frequently they get
knocked out of balance pretty easy. I ask to periodically get weighed with
the more accurate scales they have inside used by the trainers. As I do also
have a trainer hired ... I am not sure if everyone got free access to them
particular scales. The scales prints out a digital reading of alot of
different aspects that relate to your body weight. Including your level of
fluids that is in your system. Allowing you to see if you have to increase
your water intake. Maybe people who are questioning their number on the
scales should ask about the use of the more accurate scales ... periodically
of course. Whats the most they can say....sorry but no. What do you got ot
lose by inquiring into it. Its worth a try.
Good luck to you all.

It's amazing how you can change the weighing scale.
I mean, that means they cheated on everybody, right?
