But here it is. We count defended slam titles (d) and also those won consecutively (c).

Federer: 10d + 7c, 17
Nadal: 10d + 3c, 13
Djokovic: 7d + 7c, 14

We see Federer and Nadal are good at defending titles, and Federer and Djokovic are good at going on a roll, winning consecutive titles.

We will now divide the number by two to avoid double counting and we add slam titles.

1. Federer, 20 + 8.5 = 28.5
2. Nadal, 20 + 6.5 = 26.5
3. Djokovic, 18 + 7 = 25

This system tells us, if it's 1111 and we observe combo of success and dominance, it's Federer who is tops.

So it's not just 7543.
