Those lyrics don't incorporate the same vernacular,
nor sleazy accusatory style as is typical for SN.

Although that link no longer goes anywhere, There was an appearance
on ACL (Austin City Limits) back in 2010 with her incredible drummer
Allison Miller. To see a more complete side of MS Carlile:

One of the interesting aspects of ms Carlile's voice is the occasional
break into a hint of 'falsetto'.
Another contemporary vocalist that does that is a Colombian girl of very
diverse background, Shakira Mebarak, even if a different genre of music.
Most of Shakira's music I hear these days is on Mexican stations, and is as
her money shot hit "Ciega Sordo Muda"

*note - sort of latin disco flavor

I didn't like that nearly as much. I'd not listen to it again.

I'll try anything once though, so thanks for posting! :-)

I'm not sure if it was the music or the 'visuals' I most enjoyed when I
first met this fella!

Having been saturated with C&W throughout my youth, that selection doesn't
stir me as much as some other more classic stuff, even if the tight nublle
derrieres do. Maybe it's the thought of cigar smoke that's a repellent

How things change!

It's eight years since I smoked *my* last cigar. My nostrils now detect
each and every whiff of smoke as I walk down a street! Memories are
*still* stirred!

If you've time to select an example from each of those three categories,
I'll listen and tell you which I preferred! :-)

I guess this early in the morning my tastes are running not so hard core
anything, but I selected a few hard to classify cuts, some are unmistakably
country, and dropped them on a free file host site. Just a bit over 34Mb.
I think you once indicated you used WinRAR? http://www.filedropper.com/uploads
It's got one of those 'captcha' tests to see if you're human or a bot ;-)
