How to convert audio and video to AVI?

Hello
I want to convert audio and video data to AVI using AVI API.
Right now i can able to convert video data(with compress data using any
codec)
into AVI FIle .
But now i want to add audio data to AVI using AVI API.
Can any one tell me ho to convert audio and video stream into AVI which
can
be playable simultaneously.
