god cannot exist, it is imaginary man-invented, QED.
6 If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;
7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;
9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
In "love" your [man-invented] god/God commanded that people kill
their own mothers, wives, daughters, brothers and sons who the
impotent god/God was unable to convince it existed; what a weak-ass
God that could neither convince nor do its own killing. Imaginary, man-invented.
You don't understand.
First, God already warned them not to serve false gods. Ex 20:4-6,
"Then God spoke all these words:
2 I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of slavery. 3 You must not have any other gods
besides me.
4 You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like
anything that is in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the
waters under the earth. 5 You must not bow down to them nor be enticed
to serve them, for I, Jehovah your God, am a God who requires
exclusive devotion, bringing punishment for the error of fathers upon
sons, upon the third generation and upon the fourth generation of
those who hate me, 6 but showing loyal love to the thousandth
generation of those who love me and keep my commandments."
If you are warned not to murder for fear of punishment, and you
murder, whose fault is that?
The Israelites were warned. It's on their head.
