Rakitic back in, I guess. Inter is not going to get anything at the Nou
Camp, so Perisic out. SMS has been shooting blanks all season, and Tadic
doesn't score enough. Vlasic and Hajrovic scored in both of their first
games, time to put a stop to that. 5-goal hero Luka Jovic gets the
captaincy nod.

Wait...what? 5-goal phenom Jovic on the bench...I would have probably
kept him in even as a sub, but with no wiggle room... replace with
Rebic, who is also promoted to captain.

Armata
DF: Bonucci, Caldara, D'Ambrosio
MF: Bernardeschi, Lo. Pellegrini, Cristante, Florenzi, Bonaventura
FW: Immobile, Insigne, El Shaarawy (c), Politano
The Armata is really pathetic, isn't it? Chiellini and Acerbi in for
Caldara and d'Ambrosio, as if that is going to make any difference.
Cutrone in, Cristante out. Murgia in for Florenzi. Let's keep
Bonaventura in for the moment. Captaincy nod to Immobile.

Updated Armata:

Useless Borini played a grand total of 45 minutes and did nothing.
Let's see if Cutrone can repeat the magic from last week.

Anyway, replace Murgia with Parolo.

Gauchos
DF: Otamendi, Rojo, Fazio
MF: Banega, Salvio, Pastore, Paredes
FW: Messi ©, Dybala, Icardi, Aguero, Higuain
Messi is out, which breaks the entire "Messi + whatever" concept that
the Gauchos are based on. DiMaria or Alario to replace him? PSG is
playing Napoli, the Pretenders Zrich. Alario in.

I also need a new captain. Hattrick hero Dybala would be obvious, but
the alleged Ronaldo is back + they're up against the best manager in
the world, so he's a no go. Icardi just scored, but he's up against
Barca. Higuain also faces mighty Spaniards.

Aguero captain.

Always possible, but with B. Silva, L. Sané, and Agüero on the bench,
that is only likely to happen if a defender gets injured.

Always possible, but with B. Silva, L. Sané, and Agüero on the bench,
that is only likely to happen if a defender gets injured.
Thanks for the updates.

Bros have taken the lead thanks to a Dzeko brace, but things could have
looked a lot better if Dzeko had kept the captaincy and if Kramaric had
been put in the lineup.

Elsewhere, Aliquids and Gauchos on the board with B. Traore and Dybala.

Time to put behind us a horrible weekend of RSS games.
European Cups are back in action this week, so it's time for Match Day 3
of Use the NT.
Bungs
DF: Trippier, Smalling, Walker
MF: Winks, Milner, Sancho, Sterling,
FW: Kane, Rashford, Sturridge (c), Smith-Rowe, Welbeck
Smalling out, Stones in.
Smalling is playing. Walker is not.
It's his second City season, but in my hurry I still thought of Walker
as a Spurs player.
Well, he could still score as a super-sub!*
Always possible, but with B. Silva, L. Sané, and Agüero on the bench,
that is only likely to happen if a defender gets injured.
Oh ye of little faith!

Now only for that little matter of scoring...

Ciao,

I think he doesn't qualify, since he has not played a single game for Coritiba's pros.

But didn't we say that Raphinha would have been eligible in MD1?

Anyway, Pedro Henrique's goal is a definitely a left out one.

He has a stronger claim to be eligible for the Tauras than Messi does
for the Gauchos. Sorry, that's a left out goal.

Ya know, if I hadn’t been on my way to watch Salzburg demolish Rosenborg, I would totally have
realised that Smith Rowe wasn’t even playing and would have replaced him with Loftus-Cheek.

What can I say? I actually checked the lineups and somehow managed to
overlook him. So I thought he was still injured/arrested. All I can
say in my defense is that my source stupidly sorts players by name and
not by position, which I just can't get used to.

Aliquids 7 + 10 = 17
Bungs 4 + 5 = 9
Windmills 4 + 5 = 9
Armata 2 + 2 = 4
Brothers 2 + 2 = 4
Tauras 2 + 2 = 4
Gauchos 1 + 0 = 1
Lazies 1 + 0 = 1

Standings after MD3:

TotGoals TotPoints
Gauchos 19 39
Aliquids 15 33.5
Brothers 12 22
Lazies 11 19
Bungs 8 17.5
Windmills 5 10.5
Tauras 4 8
Armata 4 6.5

Overall, an excellent day for MH's teams. The Gauchos' collapse and the
Aliquids' strong showing has put the latter within striking distance of
first place. The Windmills also with a big haul, and they put some
distance between themselves and the wooden spoon. Bros, Lazies trudge
along in midtable, joined by the Bungs.

Keep in mind that MD6 goals count double, so literally anything can
happen in the last matchday.

How to we judge a case like Domgjoni? Most likely eligible for Croatia and
Kosovo, but has only played in Swiss youth teams so far.

So I count him as Swiss. There are also lots of players in
France/Belgium/Netherlands (and elsewhere) that would qualify for more
than one nationality. For left-out players, I base myself mostly on
wikipedia flags.

Usually people on local forum mention someone of Croatian heritage
that could play for our NT, but I don't remember anyone mentioned him
and never saw anything in media as well.

What was covered in media is Josip Stanisic (Bayern) who decided to play
for Germany, but he was born and raised in Germany, so that's
all expected, you can't have Rakitic case all the time.
