I liked the article, and do like her, but when her bit ends I thought
it was still her saying how we need the Guardian and it wasn't. They
swerved seamlessly into how we need it and send money to help.

I get a 404 Sorry that page doesn't exist and a link taking me to The
Guardian.

I got that initially, as the dash at the end of the url had been
dropped. The short url <https://is.gd/ADp8mc> should take you there.

What? Maureen Lipman is in Corrie now? I must start watching it again! Have I missed much
in the last 25 years?

Maureen Lipman is in Corrie now?
Evelyn Plumber, grandmother of Tyrone, currently knocking off Arthur who
in his spare time is knocking off one Jill Archer in Ambridge. Evelyn
has her own retired greyhound and works in the corner shop and had some
excellent scenes recently with Rula Lenska (no more of those as she has
left to live elsewhere, such a pity as they were sharing a flat in
Manchester).

Obviously with a ban on people of her age being allowed to do anything
it will be some time before she appears again. She often gets the best
lines in an episode.

And of course her late husband had previously written from about episode
30 if I remember correctly.

With the inter-Soap goings-on you describe I am reminded (as I have been
by the recent need for Track'n'Trace) of the episode of A Very Peculiar
Practice (with Tony Archer's best friend) where an epidemic of
non-specific urethritis spread through the university and was eventually
traced to a visiting fellow played (IIRC) by Rula Lenska.

What a tangled world it is.

Was Tony's friend the awful Dr who wanted to test the product on
students to get paid for it? He is in lots of things. I think he was
in Midsommer recently. Everyone is in that. Actor's pension fund
programme?

As was Titchyknob (from the voice) in M.M. Didn’t watch much of it as ISTR
it from a while back; he was an author that the ‘victim’ had had ‘issues’
with in the dim and distant.

Knowing that Google has its’ nose into everything and everybody and what it
wasn’t aware of didn’t amount to a bean tin of hills, when the Queen’s page
disappeared in suspicious circumstances and no amount of investigating and
searching provided even a sniff of him, someone had the bright idea of
asking Google..... So Prince Phillip dragged out his battered laptop and
connected it up to the net... They were very disappointed for, upon asking
Google, it returned.....

“Error 404, this page cannot be found.”
