THINK THIS IS HYSTERIA? IF YOU DO,PLEASE OPEN YOUR EYES AND YOUR
MINDS. LITTLE BY LITTLE THE PUZZLE PIECES ARE PLACED. THEN,"HOW DID
THIS HAPPEN?" IS OBAMA IN THE TANK FOR HAMAS AND THE MUSLIM
NATION??? IS OBAMA A CLOSET MUSLIM???

You just spent $20,000,000 to move members/supporters of Hamas, a
terrorist organization, to the United States; housing, food, the whole
enchilada.

HB 1388 PASSED

Whether you are an Obama fan, or not, EVERYONE IN THE U.S.
needs to know....

Something happened... H.R. 1388 was passed, behind our backs.
You may want to read about it... It wasn't mentioned on the news...
just went by on the ticker tape at the bottom of the CNN screen.

Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas
Refugees to the USA. This is the news that didn't make the headlines.

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the
expenditure of $20.3 million in "migration assistance" to the
Palestinian refugees and "conflict victims" in Gaza.

The "presidential determination," which allows hundreds of
thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the
United States, was signed and appears in the Federal Register.

Few on Capitol Hill, or in the media, took note that the order
provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to
individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support to the
Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of
January 2006.

Now we learn that he is allowing thousands of Palestinian
refuges to move to, and live in, the US at American taxpayer expense.

These important, and insightful, issues are being "lost" in the
blinding bail-outs and "stimulation" packages.

Doubtful? To verify this for yourself:
_www.thefederalregister.com/d.p/2009-02-04-E9-2488_

)

PLEASE PASS THIS ON... AMERICA NEEDS TO KNOW

WE are losing this country at a rapid pace.

We've asked that question at least 100 times, Doug. The answer appears to
be, "no," and "yes," respectively.

I especially get a kick out of the ones that quote specific statistics that
are complete fabrications, like one he posted last week about the number of
people who live on farms. d8-)

And then when called out on it he does one of three things:
1. The quiet sound of crickets.
2. Responds:"I knew that, I just put that up there to rile the
lefties"... (but he did think was true)
3. A completely new bogus subject as if the last one was never even
mentioned.

Horse puckey

Both my grandfather, and my uncle lived on their farms until the day
they died, well outside of town, although it is a LOT closer than when
I was a kid. For my uncle it was one of several he owned, so no he
didn't live on all of them.

The family farm that my ancestors purchased in Wisconsin, when they
immigrated here is still an operating farm, and their descendants
still live there and run that farm.

In the area I live in, in the true norther california, LOTs of local
farmers live on the land they farm. I know of none that don't,
although there probably are quite a few.

And if a farmer sells half his land, and the town expands up to the
farmhouse, which way do you count it? He still lives on his farm, AND
in town.

[And ALL of that ignores the "urban pot farmers" that live IN their
farm.]

Yep, the rest of the statement was a lie in two parts: one, that the
author has parts of the brain responsible for reason, accountability,

become a leftist, as though that were a prerequisite.

Hi Dan,
Please point out to me liberal responsibility and reason. I realize
there will be a difference in your definition of those words and mine.
Not to but in here Tom but I've been looking over the HC bill that just
passed.
One clause requires business's to collect info and send 1099's for every
single thing purchased.
Everything.

Failing to do so will void the expense as a deduction. I think they are
trying to capture unreported income from vendors
for tax purposes. There is no personal property exception either. LOL
The IRS figures they loose $30 billion (?) per year or so in tax revenue.
This goes into effect for the tax year beginning 01/01/2012.

The death tax reductions Bush passed also sunset this year.
This is the year to die if you want to save your inheritors some money.

Hi Dan,
Please point out to me liberal responsibility and reason. I realize

I don't understand, are you saying I have to file a seperate1099 for every
nut and bolt I buy, or everything I sell? IIRC, Death taxes only affect
estates in the millions and those people find legal ways to avoid big tax
bites.

You have to print one up and send it off for everything you buy but only one
per vendor, not one per purchase.
Costco, Staples and every other vendor as well as contract emps.

The Feds will get the info electronically but as it stands today, you will
have to provide 1099's to everyone.
That's going to be a lot of paper and stamps.

I don't think 1099's were ever designed for that use and it will get
ugly. But, since since many independent contractors now operate in
various forms of S corp services, in their eyes means we're hiding the
money. I once read that 70% of corporations listed here in California
are single entity owners.

Apologies have their place. Gunny has been schooled many times now
about posting unverified crap. To do it after being called out on it
many time is beyond the scope of apologizing. Like I posted earlier:

...when called out on it he does one of three things:
1. The quiet sound of crickets.
2. Responds:"I knew that, I just put that up there to rile the
lefties"... (but he did think was true)
3. A completely new bogus subject as if the last one was never even
mentioned.

So now we can add apologize to his list every time he does this. I
would be better if he would just research his posts rather than just
passing the spam that comes through his email. Hell I know a guy in
Nigeria that has $50 million ready for me if I just give him my bank
info... Came in my mail yesterday.

Apologies have their place.
Suggest you start apologizing for UGS and now Simens horrible job at
marketing to smaller machining job shops then. Even Carol did a better
job when she sold Vero Visi-CADCAM, TopSolid and Visual Mill. Hard to
believe I know but true because Siemens fucking sucks dead donkey dick
at marketing. It doesn't get any worse than these useless idiots. I
really didn't think it could get worse than UGS but Siemens is proving
me wrong. This has left the door open for Autodesk. Lets see if they
fuck it up as well or kick some ass with far better technology than
history based modeling is. For those that wish to play in a "sandbox",
with no risk to their operating system, Inventor Fusion is available
to download for free. The program will expire in a year. Autodesk
calls this a technology preview. I've been shown an advance of the
next Inventor Fusion technology preview coming this fall. It will have
major breakthroughs in ease of creating aesthetically pleasing parts.
It's already got a great user interface.

You see a similar phenomena in the science newsgroups. Someone develops or
latches onto some wacky theory (e.g. refuting Einstein or seeing fossils in
the Mars photos) and it becomes so much a part of their reason for being
that they will not or can not discard it regardless of the amount of
contradictory evidence presented to them. As they become more desperate,
they will misinterpret facts or accept without question any falsehood from
any source that even slightly supports their theory. As these are rebutted,
they become more threatened and threatening.

Just to be clear, I am not saying this about anyone who is conservative. I
am very middle of the road and have several intelligently conservative
friends. However, the problem is unthinking ideologues on the extreme left
of right who basically live in a fantasy world.

Quite frankly....is ANYTHING the Left does so far out and extreme that
its unbelievable?

Im curious..how many Somalis are now living in the US...victims of
"persecution...." and brought into the US by the Leftwing?

http://www.cal.org/co/bantu/sbintro.html

"In Africa, the Bantu-speaking peoples make up a major part of the
population of nearly all African countries south of the Sahara. They
belong to over 300 groups, each with its own language or dialect. Groups
vary in size from a few hundred to several million. Among the best known
are the Kikuyu, the largest group in Kenya; the Swahili, whose language
is spoken throughout eastern Africa; and the Zulu of South Africa.

The Somali Bantu can be subdivided into distinct groups. There are those
who are indigenous to Somalia, those who were brought to Somalia as
slaves from Bantu-speaking tribes but integrated into Somali society,
and those who were brought to Somalia as slaves but maintained, to
varying degrees, their ancestral culture, Bantu languages, and sense of
southeast African identity. It is this last group of Bantu refugees that
has particularly suffered persecution in Somalia and that is therefore
in need of protection through resettlement. These Bantu originally
sought resettlement to Tanzania in 1993 and 1994, and to Mozambique in
1997 and 1998, before they were considered for resettlement in the
United States in 1999.

As a persecuted minority group in Somalia, the Bantu refugees have
endured continual marginalization in Somalia since their arrival as
slaves in the 19th century. Although they have lived in Somalia for
approximately two centuries, these Bantu are, in many ways, viewed and
treated as foreigners. This history, coupled with their cultural,
linguistic and physical differences, distinguishes them from other
Somali refugees who have been resettled in the United States. The
culture of subjugation under which most of them lived may present
special challenges to their American resettlement caseworkers.

Today, an estimated 300 Somali Bantu live in the United States. Of
these, some have come as students, others have accompanied spouses or
other family members, and a few have been resettled as refugees. The
Somali Bantu, like other refugee groups, have tended to concentrate in
urban areas. One of the largest concentrations is in Atlanta, Georgia,
where the Bantu have established a community association, the Somali
Bantu Community Organization, to assist newly resettled Somali Bantu
refugees.

The total number of Somalis living in the United States is estimated at
150,000, of whom about 40,000 are Somali refugees from the dominant
clans. With tens of thousands of Somalis, Minneapolis has the largest
Somali community in the United States. Other metropolitan areas with
large numbers of Somalis include Columbus, Ohio, New York City,
Washington, D.C., Boston, San Diego, Atlanta, and Detroit. (For more
information on Somalia in general, please see the Center for Applied
LinguisticsÕ Culture Profile on Somali refugees.)

Before the U.S. resettlement offer, faced with the prospect of
indefinite residency in the refugee camps, some Bantu refugee families
may have felt compelled to send members back to Somalia to try to claim
their former farms. However, when asked in 1996 if Bantu refugees were
still determined to resettle, a Bantu elder affirmed emphatically, ÒWe
didnÕt know what freedom was; we have been let out of the cage and we
donÕt want to go back in.Ó "

Resettlement offers are hardly new for the Leftwing

http://www.speroforum.com/a/31510/Volcanos-eruption-delays-UN-plan-to-resettle-Palestinian-refugees-in-France

http://refugeeresettlementwatch.wordpress.com/category/other-refugees/

http://www.amazon.com/Buddha-Hiding-Refugees-Citizenship-Anthropology/dp/0520238249

Cubans, Hmong, Iraqi, Kurdish, Iranians, Haitian, Salvadoran, Bosnian,
the list goes on and on.

And then of course are the Illegal "immigrants" from at least 5 Latin
American countries that are settled in the US, that the Left is so fond
of.

So it was logical to think that the Friends of the Tangos, the
Democrats, would let..nay..encourage..a host of them to come to America.

Fascinating summation of the Leftwing viewpoint, but the inclusion of
the shotgun is way out in left field. Most Leftwingers not only cant own
a shotgun because they are scared shitless of them, but by law, are not
allowed to own one. Mental illness/criminal history prevent them from
legally owning one.

unemployment rate.
California's economy for machinists living in the San Diego area
continues to flurish. However, there is a major shortage here of jobs
for those who want $75 an hour, have a shit hole of a shop that looks
like the one in the pictures you posted, beg on Usenet for free ER-32
collets, etc.
Major shortage of machine repair guys who want $75 an hour?
Snicker...there are hundreds of them in So. Cal, well..there used to be.
At least 30 of them known to me, have retired, or packed up and left
California in the last 14 months. The rest...well...many are now working
at Home Depot.

Odd though that you think my home hobby shop (under constuction) has
anything to do with commercial machining. Are you actually retarded..or
is it simply an act used to gain you some pity?

According to your former best bud Carol you do lousy work. Is that the
reason Carol won't return your tool to you? For the first time in her
life she might be right.
First of all..once again you slip in your drool. Carol is a guy. John
Caroll (sp).
Secondly...when you loan something to someone..its not a gift.
Thirdly..you are claiming that John Carrol..a man who shits out turds
lightyears smarter than you, might be right for once(?)

Even the mans occasional buffoonery is smarter than you will ever be.

Shrug

Oh...I just returned from 2 weeks on Fullerton and Anaheim, closing down
and then auctioning yet another large California machine shop.

Oh fuck yes...manufacturing is doing so so so fucking well. Thats why
there are For Sale/For Lease/Closing signs all over the fucking place.
And no buyers.

But hey..you are a right fart smeller, so it must be true

Laugh laugh laugh

I have to take note that a thrift store here named "Savers" closed up
shop a month ago.

Things are tough when thrift shops can't stay in business.

And they were my only source of the shape beer glass I like, too.
Rough all over, I guess.

One of the Jack-in-the-Box locations went feet up last week too.
Their service was so awful it's hard to decide if was that or all
those green shoots that got them, though.

Don't tell me: the machines they have are late model highly efficient
cnc machines with the capability to compete with other shops that have
late model equipment? Based on your last one with pics, I doubt it. I
think I even made a comment that is why they go under - no investment
in tools or qualified workers. If you're running non-retrofitted tools
from the 1980's you're screwed. As a note there are at least 5 large
shops not far from me that are going gang busters. They are looking
for qualified workers and buying new machines. Guess it's a matter of
perspective.

Now problems seems to be finding qualified workers. I get calls and
emails every week for programming in various parts of LA and the
country. Problem for me is not wanting to travel 70 miles each way
every day. Anyone who does good work and keeps their connections can
work as the shops I've been to are at full capacity.

So the hundreds of machine shops in So Cal went tits up because they
didnt have the latest and greatest machinery?

Fascinating!

So tell me, how Haas and Fadal are doing these days in new machine
sales?

I know of 2 machine tool dealers who went tits up in the last 6 months.

Must have sold themselves out of work, eh?

Michigan again recorded the highest unemployment rate among the

I'll give you some hints. If you know the business, you'll know who
they are:

Two are the large airframe shops in Santa Clarita. One of those being
the largest shop of that work in Los Angeles last I checked. Both just
hired more people. They work 12 hr shifts for the past year.

One is a mid size job shop in Santa Clarita specializing in valve
bodies who just purchased a very nice cell based system to add to
their existing cell based machines and they are looking for a MC
programmer. They keep a tight reign on payroll by automating wherever
possible.

One is the largest production turbine manufacturer in Ca located in
the Inland Empire who's doing very well and has so for 30+ years.
They've been acquiring and even building custom turbo machines

One is a small but growing shop in Simi Valley who has no debt and
owns their building.

If you can't figure out at least the first 4 shops, you have no clue
what's happening here in LA. Yes, shops who don't reinvest in new
methods will go under. It's always been that way, always will.

Ok, 4 shops, 2 doing military work, one doing work for water districts
and one doing more military work.

One supposes you dont see the pattern in there, does one?

Nope. 2 Big ones mostly commercial aircraft. Water districts??? You
are out of touch. Those would be very precision valves and valve
bodies of the hydraulic kind. The turbine work is mostly commercial
jet engine and some steam turbine type stuff. Very little military
these days. There is still a lot of commercial aircraft work here in
California if you look.

I know that since 2001 the number of shops in the San Francisco Bay area has
dropped significantly.

Oh yea, forgot to add: if you use Monster.com, type in "machinist" in
Ca. There are currently 94 openings of some type. "CNC Maintenance" 36
"CNC", 161 hits, "NC Programmer", 7, ( that's how I find some of my

Years ago I considered myself a really good conventional machinist. I
took a lot of pride in my work. But as time went by I saw there was
less and less of that work. I figured out pretty quick that it was
time to learn programming to stay in the game. I took a cut in pay to
learn it. That's why you won't hear me bitch about not finding "my"
kind of work.

The fact you consider yourself machine repair type but with no Fanuc
experience is a huge handicap. You've allowed your skills to not be
perhaps what the market needs. Btw, I don't buy the "I don't have the
$20k..." cop out. If you wanted to learn it you could.

Perhaps another machine tool repair guy will hire me and teach me?

Id be happy as hell to learn Fanuc.

course you are. "Everybody Knows" that Native Americans just have a

So where do I go to learn it Bill? Be specific.
Perhaps another machine tool repair guy will hire me and teach me?
Besides the ones now working at Home Depot, or those moved to Texas or
those struggling to simply keep the doors open.
Id be happy as hell to learn Fanuc.
Gonna teach me yourself for free?
Of course he is. You have a Right To An Education. As a Democrat
you ought to know that. The Liberals all owe you.
Especially as you are a wounded veteran Native American senior
citizen. Dang, were you born under a lucky star or what?

Oh, it gets better. I forgot to ask, are you now, or have you
ever been, subject to an alcohol or other chemical dependency? Of
course you are. "Everybody Knows" that Native Americans just have a
Problem with Alcoholic Beverages. Remember, too, that Prescription
Painkillers count. Doesn't really matter how severe, or if you're
over it, you can add "in recovery" to your CV, and be even better off.
And you are of a non-majority Religion, too!
Welll...there is nocotine..and Diet Mountain Dew....do those count?

Oh yea, forgot to add: if you use Monster.com, type in "machinist" in
Ca. There are currently 94 openings of some type. "CNC Maintenance" 36
"CNC", 161 hits, "NC Programmer", 7, ( that's how I find some of my
contract work btw) I would think you could do the same?

The San Jose Mercury News used to have that many every weekend for just our area.

Oh...I just returned from 2 weeks on Fullerton and Anaheim, closing down
and then auctioning yet another large California machine shop.
Post by Bill
Now problems seems to be finding qualified workers. I get calls and
emails every week for programming in various parts of LA and the
country. Problem for me is not wanting to travel 70 miles each way
every day. Anyone who does good work and keeps their connections can
work as the shops I've been to are at full capacity.
The shops you have been to.
So tell me...how many are they?
http://www.ctv.ca/generic/generated/static/business/article1577934.html

Michigan again recorded the highest unemployment rate among the
states, 14.0 percent in April. The states with the next highest rates
were Nevada, 13.7 percent; California, 12.6 percent; and Rhode Island,
12.5 percent.
And yet you claim that overall..manufacturing is doing good in
California?
Really?
Cites?
They've got him to work chipping away in a Quandary, and as far as
he can see, there are guys, just like him, making stone tools. Ergo,
"manufacturing is doing good."

Of course, sales are off ....
