Subject: Syn to Tour with Dunnery, Brislin, Kulll & Ramsey!

As posted earlier today to AGP:

"Francis(Dunnery) will play (on Big Sky) most of the bass parts, as
well as guitars, b/vs and some keyboard parts. Main keyboards are of
course played by the brilliant Tom Brislin. Brett Kull( Echolyn) will
play some guitar parts as well and has already added slide guitar.

The drummer is Paul Ramsey of Echolyn; wonderful thumper!

Francis has the same musical qualities of Paul Stacey, who is as good
a bass player as he is guitarist. They are both great musical heads
and producers.

On tour, the core line-up will always be myself, Tom and Francis with
Brett on bass and Paul on drums; but for European dates we are doing
in October, we will probably use a UK bass and drummer.

That's how it looks at the moment.

Steve Nardelli"

What a great lineup!

Yes "extended family/connected"?, --are you quibbling with the word
"related"? I think it is well modified by "somewhat".

Brislin played keys on the Yes orchestral tour, Squire played bass and
sang backing vocals for the only Syn US tour this decade/century (so
far).

Chris Squire was very entertaining both with his stories and his
amazing playing with Alan White when I saw them at World Cafe Live. Of
course this is a totally different band now. I'm torn....
"I know Chris doesn't want me to like this band"
DING!
Chris should steal Tom Brislin for Yes and piss Steve Nardelli off!
Makes perfect sense to me.
if that's not a joke, you are an idiot.

Oh no I'm serious.
I mean so what if it pisses Steve off? It's what is best for YES!
*THAT* is what matters to me.

not nearly as "productive" as...oh say...*Chris Squire*.

Too bad there are no Syn tribute bands...*Nardelli* could pull in the
bass player that does highly productive _Squire_ moves...which would
surely speed things along.

I thought September was *the* month.

Actually, it's pretty funny that back in June they had this big cash
infusion and it's been dead silent ever since.

By now it's more "echolyn-related" than Yes-related, but that's
perfectly fine by me.
