So after the excellence of part one, they’ve fallen back into releasing
stupid gas in the writers room again.
It’s not as bad as it’s been before but it sure wasn’t as good as last
week.

The city DA is preparing federal charges against Barry for leaking local
police information to a local crook. That one’s sort of hard to explain.

They not only mention kryptonians, Alex phones in a cameo and mentions that
Kara and John are off world.

Barry says to what’s basically the evil EPA guy from Ghostbusters re-star
labs “I’m Barry Allen and I own this facility” we’ve been waiting a long
time to hear that confirmed.

BLACK LIGHTENING! And the justice league super friends headquarters. We see
the chairs with the hero symbols on them but we only see one \S/. So we
still don’t know about Superman.

The long shot of the table shows eight chairs. We see a Flash chair. We see
a super chair. We see a chair with a green circle with a red X through it
that might be a MartianManhunter chair. We see a batteredwoman chair. We
see a black lightning chair. So there are three unaccounted for.
Here is the video clip when they first introduced the JL table:

The members that were there then were
SUPERMAN (has a chair)
BLACK LIGHTENING (has a chair)
STUPIDGIRL (no chair seen)
WHITE CANARY (no chair)
BATTEREDWOMAN (has a chair)
MARTIAN MANHUNTER (has a chair)
AWFUL ARROW (has a chair)
DA FLASH (has a chair)
So the same number of chairs are still there but they didn’t show us three
of them. A super, canary, and arrow.

The big news? As you may recall I mentioned that Joe was pointedly absent
last week. This week we are told that he died six months ago (and was
retired when he did). Reality is clearly shifting as the episode goes on.
Which may account for if not excuse some weirdness where they mention
things that are different than what the audience saw moments before.

The Meta jail in the bowels of star labs is definitely gone.

The really stupid? Barry is back to facing off his opponents standing there
talking and then racing towards them giving them time to stop him when they
can’t possibly be reacting that fast. The second or third time he does this
you think he’d come up with the frying pan to the back of the head routine.

Oh, the plot? Who cares.

But only in the Zoom call at the end. In the Zoom call at the beginning
of the episode, she doesn't mention Stupidgirl or John at all, and the
others don't ask, even after Alex tells them this guy has
Kryptonian-level powers. If you're Caitlin or Iris, don't you naturally
ask, "So how about sending your stupid sister here to help out"?
BLACK LIGHTNING! And the justice league super friends headquarters.
We see the chairs with the hero symbols on them but we only see one

Where is this supposed to be?

I lost your original post. Sorry about that.

Bear with me here. The “hall of justice“ is the abandoned star labs
aerospace division that is in central city and owned by Barry Allen but,
and I have no idea how this could possibly work, nobody knows it exists. At
least that’s how it was as of the last crisis. Supergirls world has reset
since then. And Cisco is off trying to even make a map of their new earth
which is ridiculous because obviously you have to be able to just go to the
library and it’s already done for you.

I have no idea why BLACK LIGHTENING is just hanging out there.

In the comics it’s in Washington DC. In our earth the building is in
Cincinnati. In CW land it’s a building in Vancouver.

Now for the important quote for Ian:

“It looks like Supergirl’s absence will be explained in Part 2. The new
Batwoman and Supergirl’s Sentinel will join the Flash and Black Lightning
in Part 3. And Arrow’s Mia Smoak/Green Arrow shows up in Part 5.”

No, his got merged along with all the others. But the show ended with
him killing his Big Bad and announcing his retirement.

Thanks. But at least as far as Flash/Supergirl’s world goes it turned out
they were wrong about the merging and there are still infinite earths out
there, they’re just too stupid to realize it. Stargirl SG one, Titans, doom
patrol, superman returns all have their own planets still. Possibly even
Superman and Lois. And then Supergirl got her world retconned again and
she became a different totem.

Blame it all on 'Legends of Tomorrow'. They keep messing with the
timeline. :P

I ground my way thru last season of that some weeks ago and was really
wondering why by the end. It felt like they weren't even trying, just
goofing off the whole season. Haven't worked up the will to start
watching the current season yet. I'm down to just 'Flash' and 'Legends'
(maybe) in the DVR's "Record" section from the CW-verse now.

LOL
Maybe. Kara didn’t even seem concerned that her reality had changed. It was
just a throwaway line to explain something. Like it mattered what the
totems were.

Just Flash for me. I watched some recent legends that was all flashback
stuff but I didn’t even know who half the people were.

So is Gideon on the Flash the same Gideon that’s on Legends? Because if so
they’ve got a problem…

Not the same voice actress. The Flash's Gideon is Morena Baccarin, who
rumor has it performs all her lines nekkidly nude.

OK, according to Ian’s Wikipedia, there are at least three Gideons but
they’re not the same character.
