Try this:

And there are more recent recitals on youtube with him playing Bach and Mozart with distinction.

In a world of wunderkinds I think he stands out. But time will tell. He seems to have a voice, the kind of player who you can pick out from the crowd. (I'm thinking about young Sokolov or Glenn Gould -).

Thanks for the link! As you say, time will tell. There seem to be so many talented youngsters in Russia and the East that only the toughest will survive.

Yes, there are so many of them that in "following" them all,
Steve Haufe (Bozo) seems to not have had time to post here
since September. Unless it's something else. Hope not.

Don't know for sure, but I did last hsar from him on New Yea's day,
no hint of a problem. Of course lots of people have stopped posting
here over the years - there are some I wish would come back. Apart
from the political threads, the atmosphere does seem less toxic than
at some previous eras, but the range of interests seems to be reduced.

As for the subject of this thread: I wish these new wunderkinds would
play something other than that piece - I find it hard to listen to it
so much.

I;m bored to death of Tchaik 1 but Ivan does play it brilliantly in a way that sticks in the mind

There's hardly any piano concerto written in the last 30 years that is played frequently ?! At least I can't think of any that have achieved much popularity. Thomas Ades's is probably the most approachable and attractive that I can think of. I hope more pianists take that up more.

Having a stream of Russians churning out the classics year on year is a not a great advert for classical music. Perhaps they might get bored and start writing their own! Ivan composes so who knows! Maybe he's got a great new concerto up his sleeve!

His head keeps obscuring the 1st violinist. Pest.
And yes, he is yet another Russian wunderkind.
