[cw-discuss] Lame Duck Mistake

Been a customer since 2002, but had let my license lapse after 2006
(version 4.2, if I remember correctly). When I saw the lame duck
announcement, I thought it would be a perfect way to get updated once
again (thanks, by the way).

However, I just got around to registering my product code from the lame
duck promotion and realized after entering the code that I had clicked
on the incorrect link. Somehow I requested a Mac version instead of a
Linux version.

Is there any way to have that changed to a Linux version?

<grin>

Best bet, Lonnie, is to write in directly to info-***@public.gmane.org

I was already a crossover customer and had let my support lapse for a while.
When the lame duck offer came along, I simply installed over the top of my
existing installation and *poof* everthing was back to normal. I'm on an
iMac, and run Crossover to play my games (CounterStrike Source, etc.) with
very few issues at all.

With that being said, I wanted to take a moment and do something highly
unusual: I wanted to say, "Thank you" for all of the work that you folks have
put into this product. Thank you for the lame duck promotion as well. Not
quite sure if it matters, but when I heard about the details of the
promotion, and then then the company delivered on what they said that they
would do, you guys earned a whole lot of admiration.
