I am looking for the ancestry of John Dering, of Chalk, who died in 1724. He was married to Elizabeth, daughter of Francis Milles, esq. of the Inner Temple.

He is said to be descended from John Dering, of Egerton, 6th son of John Dering, esq. of Surrenden, by Margaret, sister and heir of Thomas Brent, esq. of Charing:

I have also found the will of Elizabeth Dering, of Maidstone. She requested to be buried near her late dear husband John Dering in the Chancel of Lenham Church. The will was dated 22 May 1740 and was proved 13 June 1741:

I would be grateful to anyone who could provide more information about the ancestry of John Dering. His mother Margaret Brent was a great-granddaughter of Sir George Neville, 2nd & 4th Baron Bergavenny (d. 1492), great-grandson of John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster (1340-1399).
