*Greetings to all Panchamites!*
Was listening to this song ('rimjhim gire sawan' by lata) the other night
when i realised that probably pancham was the only one who has done so many
double version songs. Others might have done so but most of the songs you
could probably think of belongs to pancham. I know most of them were sort of
situational or had different moods (happy, sad etc.) but somehow i get the
feeling that pancham liked doing different versions. These are the few songs
i can recall as of now...
(please correct me if there's something wrong in the list)
- Rimjhim gire sawan (Manzil)
- Tum bin jaoon kahan (Pyar ka mausam)
- Phoolon ka taaron ka (Hare rama hare krishna)
- Humein tumse pyar kitna (Kudrat)
- Kuch na kaho (1942 a love story)
- Yaadon ki baaraat (Yaadon ki baarat)
- Lalla lalla lori (Mukti)
- Chandni re jhoom (Nauker)
- Jidhar dekhoon main (Mahaan)
- Tujhse naaraaz nahin zindagi (Masoom)
- Tere bina jiya jaaye na (Ghar)
- Main pyaasa tum sawan (Faraar)
- Chanda o chanda (Laakhon mein ek)
- Humein aur jeene ki (Agar tum na hote)
- Aur kya ahde wafa (Sunny)
- Jeevan ke din chote sahi (Bade dilwala)
- Tera mujhse hai pehle ka naata koi (Aa gale lag jaa)
- Kitne bhi tu kar le sitam (Sanam teri kasam)
- Jeene de yeh duniya (Lava)
There must be some other scores of this nature. I would request members to
add to this list the songs they can remember.
Also, I would like to invite more knowledgable members in this group to
share their opinion on the same phenomenon.
Thanks & Regards,
*- Pinak*
