Hello everyone,
Well unfortunately as of last there has been a little ugliness on this
newsgroup. Hopefully the new year will see happier posting. I am new
to RGP so hopefully this is not the norm.
Just wanted to wish everyone a happy holidays- regardless of who you
are. I welcomed my daughter into the world this year and see things a
little differently now. It is not worth the time to be ugly. We
should all appreciate what we have, and not worry about others.
I enjoy this site because I can communicate and read what others in
this obsessed hobby are up to- my collection is small, two pins, but
enjoyment for playing and working on my pins is huge.
I appreciate the help given to myself and others and the sense of
community that this site provides- hope to meet everyone in the future
and hope everyone's future is better than their present.
The fact that we can all enjoy such a childish hobby shows how lucky
we all are.

Taylor: 2 pins/?Heck, thats about where we all started, clear some
space, you will get a few more this coming year! I too wantd to bail
off the group for awile, mainly due to 2 guys that just keep posting
the same crap over and over. Kinda' gets tired, no? But, chin up, there
stil alot of good guys left here: LTG, Cliffy, Brian, Del, Korn, Doug
etc. that try real hard to make things work, and offer real great Tech
advice. Ignore the Trolls, I have learned to, enjoy your Hobby, the
Holidays and your Family. Someday........... we will All learn to get
along! And Phoebe, I have an Earthshaker BG that needs your gifted
attention! Happy Holidays to those that continue to post/lurk, and
contribute here! Lets learn to smile a tad bit as well!

I was thinking the same things.... (my boy just turned 1 last month.) But I
must say as he gets older ... would I want him reading some of the things I
have read of late?

I dont think I'd let him anywhere near this RGP until I'd vetted it. (thanks
to the smallest minority)

Pretty sad when you think how much we could promote the humble pinny (over
the xbox/ ps2) to the up and comings.

I find Im learning so much just from the RGP, one day maybe the lad will...

I agree totally, I wouldnot want my kids reading some of the rantings of
late. I don't post often on this forum but when I do with questions the
group has been extremely helpful to me. Would not want that to end.

I totally agree

when rgp is basically your entire life (as it is seems to be for some
of you)

you do need to keep it a positive environment

Merry Christmas to all

The new year has promise of many to ignore the common trolls into
extinction and keep the group positive. There will still be the common
squabbles, but overall this group is very helpful.

Have a great holiday and enjoy the new RGP.

Yep, it was getting a little ugly here as of late. I guess that's
what happens when the mice overrun the house, extermination will occur.
Glad to see RGP getting back on track. ;) Merry Christmas to all and
have a happy and *safe* New Year. -S (CARGPB1)
