dislike the state molding attempting to mold children's minds.

Meanwhile, out in the less-developed world, radical politicized Islam
(Islamism) is working hard to institute authoritarian to totalitarian
regimes, from Turkey on one end of the continuum to Islamic
State (the Caliphate) on the other. Hindu nationalists in India,
Buddhists in Myanmar - there's religious folks trampling on the
rights of others around the globe, or itching to.

Laws are created retroactively based on some problem, so a new rule is
added to list penalties in case someone acts in a certain way.

We live under a social contract model originating in the Age of
Enlightenment, under which we surrender some freedoms to authority so
that the remainder are protected. The difficulty, obviously, lies in
determining which freedoms are relinquished and which are preserved.

As an example, I like driving on well-maintained roads and bridges,
providing the young with an education, and having the elderly, poor,
infirm, etc. provided for. These things require a government to
achieve, especially when large numbers of each are involved. So, I
pay taxes. I surrender part of my freedom in the form of money so
that I can live in a place that guarantees my freedom from bumpy roads
or failing bridges, illiterate children, and beggars.

This is why a law really isn't a law until it has been found to be
constitutional. And a law can NOT be changed or made constitutional by
the courts. It requires the actions of both to legislate and confirm
the constitutionality of a law. Neither can unilaterally act to force a
law into being. Just as the Executive can't create laws or adjudicate
them.... for the executive branch to enforce laws, they first need the
laws written and passed by congress so the Executive can sign them and
they the Judiciary to use the laws to deliver justice and punishment.

The Judiciary writing and changing Legislation is NOT constitutional and
the Legislative spending money on things that are NOT delegated powers
and the Executive Branch deciding what laws it chooses to enforce are
all violations of the Constitution. It's why government is failing.

It requires the actions of both to legislate and confirm
the constitutionality of a law. Neither can unilaterally act to force a
law into being. Just as the Executive can't create laws or adjudicate
them.... for the executive branch to enforce laws, they first need the
laws written and passed by congress so the Executive can sign them and
they the Judiciary to use the laws to deliver justice and punishment.
The Judiciary writing and changing Legislation is NOT constitutional and
the Legislative spending money on things that are NOT delegated powers
and the Executive Branch deciding what laws it chooses to enforce are
all violations of the Constitution. It's why government is failing.

The entire section of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in which this verse
is found can be understood as one where Jesus actually serves to
elevate the importance of following Israel's moral law beyond the
letter to the spirit of the law. we are told to go the extra mile for
someone who abuses us and to pray for enemies instead of resisting
them. All of this can be generally summarized by saying we need to be
pure inside and out and should be as accommodating as possible for the
sake of a lost world.

To "turn the other cheek," does not imply pacifism, nor does it mean
we place ourselves or others in mortal danger. Like the principle of
the eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth in Matthew 5:38, turning the
other cheek refers to personal retaliation, not criminal offenses or
acts of military aggression. Clearly, Jesus did not mean to negate all
God’s laws and injunctions protecting us against violent crime or

Some Atheists believe that gays are real and yet they have no scientific
proof that gays are NOT just mentally ill heterosexuals, than they have
that God created life so how they justify one belief and not the other
and it seems irrational. It looks to me like Atheists are as irrational
as Liberals are and as Christians and Muslims are.

Christmas is 4 days after the end of the shortening of the days and the
beginning of the longer days that bring warmer weather and the rebirth
of a new cycle for growing food. In short it marks the end of the week
that is the apex which marks the changing of the sun to the beginning of
a new year of life. The apex being 3.5 days before to 3,5 days after
the winter solstice.

Also known as Christmas the birth of the savior. So going by the sun,
Dec 25th is the birth of hope and a new year of life. Our creator what
ever "it" is has for better or worse linked our lives to this solar cycle.

That was sort of my point.... Atheists think evolution has the answers
and yet it doesn't explain how life began. Evolution is the process
that happens after life exists. What is the Creator, did man come from

or were we planted here by space aliens after life began?

Was it a Big Bang or a competing theory? Atheists believe in things and
dismiss things based on belief.... belief and faith are the basis of

Every time a religious holiday comes along, some dingbat writes this kind of message thinking that they are being original. This atheist is retired, but
many times over the years I did work on religious holidays , so that others could have the day off to be with their families. Of course, it didn't hurt getting paid double time. I can also add to this that I always, except for one time worked the Friday after Thanksgiving so that others could have the weekend
with their families. The one time I wasn't able to do this, I was called a bitch. That's thanks for you. It's a good thing they started giving us that
Friday off a couple years later because I took off that Friday the two last times.
