I'm looking for a graphics program that can read X and Y parameters
from a file or a socket or even stdio and display them on screen.
I've looked at SlackBuilds and the internet in general but seen
nothing that looks to me like fitting the bill.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried gnuplot? (I think that's it's name.)

You might look at Grace. I used it in the past and beautiful plotting,
but haven't used in quite a while nor still have it on my Linux boxes.
I have used the gnuplot, but Grace is a bit more sophisticated in some
respects. Looks like there is a listing in slackbuilds.org so might be
a possibility.

Yep. Now I have both. Thanks, Ed.
