I've had a phone call from "compliance officer" at my work. He says
that letters are being returned to them from my home and even that
he's visited my door and left cards for me and that I haven't
contacted them? I asked the details of when the letters were sent and
he couldn't tell me. Funny how I set up a payment plan a couple of
months back and all those letters arrived safely?

Anyway, he wants to set up an interview - he wanted my home - and I
said okay as I've nothing to hide but don't want this reptile in my
house. Does anyone have any tips for these interviews?

Yeh, Damn right you you don't want these scumbags in your home, rearrange
the meeting at the job centre, take a witness and and a voice recorder.

I agree. Don't let them into your own home - they have no right or
legal basis for it and why should they invade your space and bring
their negativity and bad vibes. They'd only be 'on the snoop' anyway,
poking their noses everywhere. I'm sure you have nothing to hide but
it will still do no good; use one of their offices as Fletcher
suggests.

Hope this helps.

I don't understand why they need a compliance interview if you are
making regular payments?

Hi,

The question is WHY does the bugger want a home interview?
It's probably LESS convenient for the maggots than a local office. They
don't usually put themselves out at all...so there will be an ulterior
motive (eg lifestyle inconsistent with declared income).
Do NOT use your home!!.

To follow up - He says the interview is because letters are being
returned marked gone away. Now I spoke to their office not one month
ago with no mention of this problem? He did apologise for no one
asking me about this when I phoned though. He also stated that he'd
been at my door - yet couldn't remember details such as the colour of
the door, was it on a main road, did I have a cat flap, etc?

He says the letters are about a review of my case? ie wanting more
money I think? I'll follow the advice about taping the meeting.

I reckon you can be 99.9% sure that they are up to something. By all means
tape the meeting BUT not at your place!!!. A problem with postal address etc
simply requires you to confirm your address with the one on file ie a
telephone job. They seem to want to get into your home for some reason and
(esp. in view of the subterfuge) you should not comply. Never mind you
having 'nothing to hide' the problem is what they may claim to have
'deduced' from the visit. So: you go see them...given their stated reasons
this should suffice and demonstrate your willingness to co-operate. With the
CSA a bit of caution (well, a lot really) never hurts.

They are vile fucking cunts and I agree you should not let them in to
your house. I am in the unenviable position of having my ex-wife (who
has had a claim for 400 a month from me for the past 6 years, the
whole thing being a scheme to merely supplement her income, and was
nothing to do with wanting a child) who actually *works* at the CSA.
You guys think you have to deal with cretins - try getting hold of one
of the case sensitive spastics who have to deal with your case!
Impossible. I swear I do not know what I will do if I pass her in the
street...
