It’s a huge win for Democrats in a very conservative state. Trump won
the state by a whopping 30 points in 2016.

Trump told thousand of supporters ahead of Tuesday's election. "If you
win, they are going to make it like, ho hum. And if you lose, they are
going to say Trump suffered the greatest defeat in the history of the
world. You can't let that happen to me!"

Well, donnie, it happened to you!

Democrats took the Virginia legislature, too. First time in twenty
years.

An awful lot of Republicans - especially those seeking re-election
next year - are getting very nervous. This is good.

The press seems to prefer "Moscow Mitch"...the other term was used with
no connection to Putin when someone on "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me"
observed that Mr McConnell is physically incapable of looking
happy...they attributed it to "resting Mitch face"....r

Has the Republican incumbent conceded?
I thought there was a very narrow margin and some muttering about
"irregularities" - which might be a foretaste of Trump's response in 2020.
Last I heard the Treason Party was considering appointing the Republic
loser as Governor, but I did not follow up on that to check the sources,
so it could be an entirely unfounded rumor.

Although, to be fair, the fact that it is perfectly believable says a
lot about the current state of the GOP's position on upholding laws and
their oaths to defend the Constitution.

There will be a "re-canvas" a week from tomorrow (Thursday). This is
to see that all of the tallies were recorded correctly. If they were
not, then there is a full-scale re-count.

If Republicans should uncover any corruption in the election, the
Bevin campaign could also make a petition to contest the results –
provided there's a convincing reason.

Sounds fishy.

Kentucky's Secretary of State let something slip (maybe) this morning
when he mentioned "checking for transpositions". Beshear presently
has an edge of just over 5,000 votes. If a corrupt county official
says, "Oops, this tally for Bevin was 9,298, but it was recorded as
2,998", there are more than enough votes to change the outcome of the
election.

You never know in this corrupt culture.

My definition of "America" is the guys who first made their mark with "A
Horse With No Name", followed it up with the likes of "Ventura Highway",
"Sister Golden Hair", "Tin Man", and even the original version of
"Muskrat Love"...they haven't had a decent hit since 1982's "You Can Do

"Fish Heads") trying in vain to Make America Great Again....r
