Hamilton starts from the pole, leads every lap, sets fastest
lap, easily wins again, and continues to maintain "comfortable
lead"in the WDC (as per both Simon Lazenby and Paul DiResta, pre-
race). Regardless of the outcome of the next race, Lewis Hamilton
will again continue to be leading the championship.

You really are a fangurl, aren't you?

He DIDN'T set the fastest lap.

Seven seconds over his teammate - who is himself a fairly handy driver
- are you still claiming that it is really down to the car?

Over his teammate? Of course not...

...but perhaps you haven't been paying attention all the times the
commentators have mentioned what following too closely to the car in
front does to one's tires.

Yet elsethread you are bitching about Bottas not being allowed to turn
up his power. Talk about contradicting yourself.

You don't have to be a 'fangurl' to make a mistake. You do need to be a
pathetic dweeb to pounce on and ridicule somebody like that for it.

Yeah. However Hairy Arse made the same 'mistake' last race so it's starting to look like he's
attempting a fake news campaign. You know, social media tactics, say something that sounds like it
could be true and there are bound to be a few people who believe you rather than check for
themselves...

It wasn't a mistake per-se in that when that message was transmitted,
it was accurate, albeit premature with respect to fastest lap of the
RACE. Of course Hamilton had the fastest lap of the weekend AND set
a new track record in qualifying when it meant earning the pole.

But Lewis had the fastest lap of and won the race. However after
Lewis had won and before the trailing Ricciardo had finished, the
latter sneaked in a largely meaningless fastest lap of the RACE
on his final lap. The inaccurate fastest lap post was corrected
and published less than 40 seconds after that now wrong claim.

It was correct at the time, but premature and soon overtaken, so to speak.

Odd that the Baker* thinks that the fastest lap by Dan was "largely meaningless". There are points
for it now (= money) and it goes a long way to show just how good Dan is when he's in a car that's
halfway decent.

[*] That's if it was Baker who said that, I'm not quite sure of the attributions in this post.

It wasn't me.

And I think Riccardio is one of the best out there, BTW. He's shown a
particular gift under braking.

Well, just slow down the fawning hurry and wait till all drivers have crossed the line in a further minute or so. Or can't your excitement take it??
