I am not, nor have I ever been, a member of HYDRA. Anyway, if they had a song back when the Cosmic Cube tells us Mrs Rogers joined, it would have gone something like this:

Hydra Anthem

Lyrics by Susanna R. A. Miller
Tune: Believe me, if all those endearing young charms (Irish folk tune)

Hail Hydra, immortal as legend of old,
or as rumour on swiftest of wing,
Though beheaded by swordsman with blade sharp and bold,
Where the one stood, two new heads shall spring.
Though fortune be frail,
and hope naught avail,
and dreams crushed and withered by morn,
Our dream of a better world never shall die,
But in more hearts each day be reborn.

To this work we are solemnly sworn, as a guild
of craftsmen in antiquity,
We toil, and we serve, and we know that we build
a tomorrow that some may not see.
Should the greater good call for a sacrifice small,
we will listen and gladly obey,
For our dream of a better world joins us as one
and Hydra will show us the way.

When all are united, one heart and one soul,
when discord and strife are long past,
When all work together, one dream and one goal,
We'll see our hopes realised at last.
When order's restored, and prosperity flowers -
all are happy when peace has its day -
we can make the world better when we make it ours:
then "Hail Hydra" the whole world shall say.

Nicely written. It reminds me of the kind of "unity" I've been hearing
too much about lately.

Very cute idea.

I've been wondering about writing another one -- except I really don't
know enough Hydra background -- to the tune of "Cool Clear Water."

Shivery-good. Sincere faith in a totalitarian utopia, euhhhh!

• Where the one stood, two new heads shall spring.
This hit me the wrong way: heads don't stand. I suggest
-> Where the one grew, two new heads shall spring.
The synonyms "grow" and "spring", I feel, bring out the parallelism between the two half-lines, and thus the contrast.

Nice song. I'll have to see if I can find the tune. I really
liked the twist ending.
