Yes its's not only the new football season (hooray!!)---PROPER
football I mean----but it's also time to kick off in a BRAND NEW
All-Singing All-Dancing SIngles Battle!!
This time.......
THE 1959 BATTLE OF THE SINGLES!!!
And as is indicated in previous posts we open with a pretty lengthy
Preliminary Round ----this is because we ended up with 742 entrants in
the battle and therefore a whole lotta 460 of them need to do battle
in this opening round in order that 230 winners go into Round One
proper which will therefore start with the normal 512 contenders
Because this is such a large amount of match ups to vote on (more than
most Battles we've had so far tho the 1960 Battle did have the same
number of contenders in its Preliminary Round) I've therefore set
aside a whole TEN DAYS for this round to run so THERE IS PLENTY OF
TIME TO VOTE AND THERE'S NO RUSH FOR YOU TO COMPLETE!!!!
The relevant snippets (see below) will be posted in viable batches
over that time so anyone who wants to can vote as they are posted and
still be well in time to submit a final voting tally.
The site lets you vote for as many or as few match ups as you wish to
deal with at any one time so please take your time.YOU CAN RETURN TO
THE SITE WHENEVER YOU LIKE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE (during the 10

more minor hits and the non-hits----and it has also made the required

THE 1959 BATTLE OF THE SINGLES!!!
And as is indicated in previous posts we open with a pretty lengthy
Preliminary Round ----this is because we ended up with 742 entrants in
the battle and therefore a whole lotta 460 of them need to do battle
in this opening round in order that 230 winners go into Round One
proper which will therefore start with the normal 512 contenders
Because this is such a large amount of match ups to vote on (more than
most Battles we've had so far tho the 1960 Battle did have the same
number of contenders in its Preliminary Round) I've therefore set
aside a whole TEN DAYS for this round to run so THERE IS PLENTY OF
TIME TO VOTE AND THERE'S NO RUSH FOR YOU TO COMPLETE!!!!
The relevant snippets (see below) will be posted in viable batches
over that time so anyone who wants to can vote as they are posted and
still be well in time to submit a final voting tally.
The site lets you vote for as many or as few match ups as you wish to
